My P5 looked nice tonight

I did quite a bit of driving today and treated my car to a washing.
I thought it looked pretty nice as the sun was going down so I took a few shots (first ones, actually) of my car and it's two mods.

A bit gratuitous, but I always like to look at pictures of handsome rides. Maybe you do, too.

hey is that a Sparco shifter knob like on the MazdaSpeed?
if so, where'd you get it and how much?

Nope. It's a Sparco Globe X, $55-$60, blue ring to pick up the blue in the seat cloth.

Dude, can i see a pic of your shift knob, im not sure if you posted it, but if you did its not showing up, Thank you......your p5 looks good

Dude, NealMcD, that is a tight ride. I have the same mazdaspeed exhaust on my MP5, I love it. What springs did you lower it with? Check out my car Here. Props bro.

Thanx NealMcD, i can see the phtos now and that shift knob looks awesome. Did you have to alter your boot at all or did it just fit up tight with the knob like that. Anyways, it looks good man, hows the feel?

Thanks for the kind words, all.

As for the shift knob - I did have to hack-saw off about 1/2 inch off "my stick" and then screwed the knob down to be flush with the boot (which rests down on a ring). If you get it do a test fit first to confirm how much to cut. It feels great, though now I wish I may have considered the MazdaSpeed-similar knob in blue that Corksport carries. It has the gate pattern (not that I need it) and is similar in shape to the Mugen knob I had in my Civic.

I'll take a closeup shot of it soon for you.

As for the exhaust - I love it. 1. It's a works part. 2. Looks fantastic and not too ricey. 3. Is loud at times though not harsh - clean/mellow (again, like a Mugen). 4. Under normal driving conditions it's actually quiet. 5. Had a 20% off coupon so it was only ~$175ish + labor.

The funny thing is I think it "goes quiet" under heavy accel 3rd gear or +4500rpms.

No springs changes here, crayz_d. You car looks just as fantastic as I remember it. Personally I'd keep it just as is ;)
