My new MAF setup + extra pictures

I had the Turbohoses setup from **********.com, hard pipes and smic. I had the HKS ssqv on the cold pipe and stock bpv on the hot, which was later replaced with the forge diverter valve. I never had any turkey with any setup...

Also, my brother "spicyspeedster" had the Turbohoses hardpipes only, no smic, with the HKS ssqv on both hot and cold pipes, the hot pipe was recirculated. No turkey there also...

did you guys take out that little plastic black "net" looking inside the MAF? We took mine out...less restriction? i think its called the diffuser...

I've heard of people doing this with no issues afterwards. Isn't this "net" after the sensor?

DO NOT REMOVE THAT PART!!!

It is part of the way that the air is measured.

No, it is there to make the air turulances steady so the sansor gets a proper reading..

The MSP stock runs ber-rich to start with. I was even using Joe's FPR for quite awhile and my spark plugs were always A1 (I go often near redline)
But I use the stock airbox. When I had a SRI or CAI mounted (I much prefer the stock airbox now), I did put the mesh back b/c the turbulence gave my car the hiccups sometimes

yea I've been running great without it for like 3 months so far....my boy Alejo too...but then again when the MAf is relocated it really doest matter what the readings are right? isn't that the whole point of relocating?

Umm,...

Actually...

No....

The point is so that when a Blow Off Valve opens, the Mass Air does not read the escaping air and think that it's going into the engine..

This will cause the injectors to be activated and stall out the engine between shifts.
