My Msp Shocks The Piss Out Of Me

Okay heres the deal guys.
Everytime i get out of my car and go to close the door when i touch the top of the door i get the piss shocked out of me its so bad that i now get out of my car and close the door with my foot to keep from getting shocked. And people look at me like im a moron. it happens everytime i get out and it isnt just a little pesky shock it really lays it to me. im scared im gonna be at a gas pump and go boom lol. anyways i did a search and nothing came up for this... My first ideas were the raido and alarm grounds but i dont think that is the case because both work properly. any idea's?

i get this too.....its because of static electricity....you rub your ass along the seat as you get out, and the first thing metal you touch shocks you

yea, i wish it had a touch button like my mx3. it was a static electricity ground, so you just give it a lil touch on your way out and it takes the charge outta ya.

I had a 95 Dodge Neon that did this all the time.. my msp doesn't do this..

It sounds tacky, but attacha piece of wire to the frame or block and let the other bare end drag on the ground. You'll get tired of people telling you your car is dragging something, but...Look at the Japanese cars, by the muffler usually, they have a metal strap that drags for this exact purpose...that and to draw out bad spirits, but whatever.

You'll get tired of people telling you your car is dragging something, but...Look at the Japanese cars, by the muffler usually, they have a metal strap that drags for this exact purpose...that and to draw out bad spirits, but whatever.

That's hilarious because I have the same problem! I think it's the faberic that causes a lot of static.

We've gone over this before somewhere.. I forget the thread. But I have been shocked in my house, in my car, at a resturant.... you name it. I get shocked and HAVE shocked other people no matter where I am... but it usually is worse during the winter. The poor dog comes up to me to give me a sniff before he tries to give me a doggie kiss... and *BOW..whine, whine* he gets a static bolt about an inch long to the nose... he runs away.
