My MS3 was stolen on Friday!!

To all...thanks...and yes EvilMonkey the keys will always be close at hand!

Rosshole...I did talk to my "friend" again...he didn't know anything more. I have a good job, a clearance, and a lot more to loose than he does -- so I kept the "meeting" reasonable. Besides, this is what insurance is for.

Clos561 ... The check gets cut Friday, so I don't know the value yet. As as I do, I will post it. I am guessing with the MS CAI, the rim / tire insurance, the rental car, and my deductible, I am going to loose about $1900 on this deal.

And yes TrueRed again! They had 3 out of the 4 colors available -- Red, Black, and that awful bluish / silver color. I have done Black before --- so I want to stick with the Red. No GT either...I just can't see a reason for it.

glad everything worked out...keep the keys close at all times.

I will...it is just a shame you have to live your life paranoid. I can't count how many times I have seen keys on a desk or in home that I could have taken. I guess being a low down dirty thief just isn't in me...

there are all types in this world... you gotta be careful with people nowadays...

on a side note... I find it ironic, and a little funny, that the car was stolen on a friday and the new one will be picked up on a friday.

I learned a while ago to always have your keys on you, especially at a party. That was when someone crashed my friends party, stole his car and crashed it into a tree.

I never thought about it...but you are right. Friday to Friday... It will be nice to be back in the seat of the Mazda. The rental was ok, but not as fun to drive...not at all.

Unless you're just being sarcastic

Damn you caught me, I was trying to give some false hope (lol2)

Yeah that's about one of the FEW things I never liked about like about the MS3, aside from the torque, stupid manual seats :( that and no sunroof.....

So you're gonna pick up your car FRIDAY. WOOOOOOOOOOOO

Drive it like you stole it! J/K don't get a ticket on your 1st day while reminding yourself why your car is so fun to drive, (rockon)

Well after waiting 8 hours at the dealer...I finally have my MS3 back. (Well...so to speak since it is a different car.) They messed up the CAI order and got one for a regular 3, so I have to wait until this Saturday to get the CAI and the iPod kit installed. However...I am finally now back behind the wheel of a car I love... It is good to be back!

Ha! Yes...no parties! The next time I will have one, I am getting photographs and copies of everyone's DL first!!!

you're not going to notice only a few lbs difference from the sport seat. To be honest I hate manual because power seats give you more leeway and minuscule adjustment. I like that.

you clearly never took a power seat out of a car and serviced one... they weigh a ton! the non-power seats are MUCH lighter

Actually I have..... my F150 had power driver's seat and I removed that..... didn't feel all that heavy, I took it out........alone..... then again I am about 6'3 and 230-240.... so I would understand someone like my buddy who is 5'11 and 150 having trouble with it......

I understand your point, but I seriously don't think they're all that heavy, I've had the pleasure of taking my sport seat out of my MS6 the other day when I was wiring my subs, my 27 inch TV weighed more..... and I honestly don't see a stock ms6 GT and a stock ms6 sport having significantly different 1/4 times

(same driver driving one than the other, knowing how to launch the car and when to shift) it might be off by a tenth or 2 but only cause it's a few lbs difference,

I was just saying he won't really notice it while driving around town, that's all...... I'm sure he'll notice it if he has to remove his seat for any reason though (lol2)

On that DNA sample, I am going to have to take a cheek swab. No other bodily fluids will be accepted!
;-)

Unless it's a hot chick right? (lick)

I kid I kid.......

you'll feel a MAJOR weight difference if you ripped BOTH front seats out back to back... one power and one normal... yes, I've done that a few time on RX-8s... gut the interior to replace wiring

I thought about making some sort of allusion to that, but I quickly decided that this forum would not take it lightly...so I skipped it.
