My Mazdaspeed Dyno Results :)

If I'm not mistaken the Miata runs on the BP engine, which has beefier internals and has been turboed before; it takes very well to boosting. And turbo cars do make tremendous power, but not at ~7 psi :)

Yep. (headbang)

155 whp sound much better.
I did not think the MSM suffer from such bad heat soak with a FMIC, but I guess it is still too small?
Did Mazda beef up the internals on the MSM? How safe is it to increase boost?
I was always under the impression that turbo cars made tremendous (sp?) amount of power until I bought the MSP. My old Integra GSR made ~140 whp bone stock n/a. That's on technology over 12 years old now.
It runs the same basic block as any other miata... The compression has been dropped back to the 9.5:1 where it was in 99. (compared with 10.1:1 currently)

The BP block responds very well to turbos. It's roots are with the old 1.6L motor which was in teh 323GTX and other such turbo applications. It has been proven that it can take an easy 12psi for >100k miles. This would be a bit risky for a warranty car, so Mazda put it at a more conservative 8.5psi. (and apparantly still gave it enough fuel for 10 or so)

Yes it has an FMIC, but it's not that big, and I had about an hour of driving around on a hot TX day trying to find the dyno place... that's not so good for power numbers....
