My LED swap

Stock MS6 HID colour is between 4200K-4800K. 5K would probably be a Mercedes-white look.

I will definelty have more threads in the future because I plan on replacing almost every stock light... lol.

5K would be perfect, If I had a regular 6 and I was upgrading I would go for 5K. I'm not going to change mine concidering they're already close to that so theres no point for me.

Do post pics when youre done :).

yea i know that but thanks

Well I didn't know if you knew or not.. Not insulting your knowledge by any means..

I think that 5k would look good if you are planning on going for the pure white..

I find 6000K has more of a blue hue to it in person... Maybe it's just me. I guess it depends on the make, the bulb, projector, source of lighting, ect. ect.

i wasnt trying to sound like a dick i kinda thought of that after i said it.

Oh I know bro.. I was just clarifying my statement for others as well haha..

I just finished putting in my last 2 led's yesterday.. Car is now completely LED swapped inside and out..

Here's my 6000k HIDs. They do have the slightest blue, but it's like a Pearl White maybe. They match the LED's pretty good as my LEDs have a bluish hue. Once the HID warm up, they are really bright white

Here you can see that blue hue on warm-up

Here's right when you turn them on... Before I aimed the lights too lol

looks dope. i ordered 2 sets 5000k ddm hid kits for my lowbeams and fogs last week. real excited to get them going. now to decide where to get the 5000k leds to match.

Question on how did you attach the WHP9 bulbs to the aluminum housing that hold the original bulb. From what I see I have to cut the original bulb out and then reattach the new bulb in its place. If this is the case ( or if I'm missing something) please let me know.

There is noob and then there is retarded. I,m the later. Just didnt happen to ever see that 2 bulbs were in that reflector. Needless to say looks great!!!! Also love the electrical tape idea. I can see how you would loose one.

Hmmm... Sorry but I don't think I'm 100% sure on what youre asking? This is what I did... Pop the hood, poke your head near the back of the headlight. Pop the cover off of the back of the headlight, it's a rectangular cover, it's just 2 clips. Comes off real easy. Poke your head in again and look for the small housing that is holding the stock parking light. Just pull it out from the actual headlight, leave it connected to the wires and stuff it should just come out so you can see the bulb. The stock bulb should be able to just come out, then swap in the new bulb. I would then test it first to see that it works, because these bulbs are wedge base so it may not work depending on what + and - side you put in. just turn it around if it didn't work. Then I wrapped electrical tape close to the bottom of the bulb and the bulb housing (because I had some trouble the first time putting it in and ended up losing the bulb inside the headlight housing :@) . Once its wrapped and ready to go stick it back in the housing in the spot, wiggle it around and twist it until it pokes through so you can see it. Put the cover back on the back of the housing and youre good to go.

I hope that helps? I can take some pics if you would like... I still need to finish the How-To.

how difficult are ddm hid kits to install. I have an 07 speed 6, do I order the hid for the fogs, lows and parking? I love this thread, its a change Ive been wanting to do, but I'm a lil confused. First I thought I should just buy all new bulbs from superbrightled.com, then ddm hid's got thrown in the mix . . . any help?

Are you referring to HID lighting or the LED's? Not to be rude or anything but this thread is more about the interior/exterior 194 LED swap, check the other section for regular lighting with the headlights/fog lights. You could always PM another member or use the search function.

If you have any questions with the LED's though I would be more then happy to help.
