my kit is ALMOST done...

you guys meet too far south for me...

i'm like 2 hours away... hehehe... i'de love too... but it is way too far... maybe one of these days i'll take a road trip and meet you guys... but i definately can't do it all the time.

let me know when you guys are near by
i'll go chill
race...
have fun.. it's a shame english town is closed now... it closed the first day i spanked my car with the turbo on... (sunday) i couldn't go cause i was at work... (and i don't have drag radials..) it was import vs. domestic bracket racing with drag radials... next season i might be forged... who knows!!! either way... i'm not switching kits... i'm sticking with this kit... i might just get a new exhaust manifold... but it's going to be the same style... log - flange... i just have some ideas on how to make it flow better... if your thinking about going turbo... go MAM... it's definately the best developed kit i've seen out their for these 2.0's ...

even if i had a probe i would get this kit...
come to think of it... that wouldn't be a bad idea... buying a probe... then i could switch parts around... whenever i want...

looks good... you're almost their... and don't worry ... you will get their.
take my advice... get a wideband o2 sensor... it really helps

i thought my car was pretty much tuned... untill i installed mine today... when i started driving ... i was running so lean... it was sickening...
i was about about 15.00:1 at high rpms...

put my wideband on... took 4 trips around the block and i'm already at a point where the car runs safely pushing 10 lbs of boost... ( so says my gauge... which i'm starting to notice has a slight offset... so it might actually be an 8 lb spring... but i will find out when i have my profecb for sure... also, i'm going to puts around with the vacum... maybe i will tap the gauge in another location.

car sounds sick... going to see i fi can get some audio soon (no digital camcorder ... :-( ) i can always take short vids with my regular digital camera, then over dubb the sounds with windows sound recorder, a microphone, and my (bad) talent in beat boxing... i'll be that would be interesting...

got some more pics...

oh... and the wideband i got was a PLX... that's what most new cars are actually coming with. PLX M-300. it's a bosch sensor with the brain / digital read out (underneath the air/fuel gauge) got it for $350... and it's worth every penny works just as good (if not better) then the AEM unit.

http://www.plxdevices.com/

beautiful thing about it is the brain has output for analog narrowband and wideband gauges (thats a narrow band gauge in the pictures and it actually reads acurately (since the brain is what is doing the conversion)

enjoy your setup man

Pedro,

The intercooler is off center. When I sold you the parts you had a Starion(of something of that nature) FMIC.I know you cut up the pipes so they would work with that intercooler. Now that you have the Gen1 FMIC that I gave you, your piping needs to be fixed.I'm going to make you the pipe that goes from the turbo to the intercooler so you can center up the intercooler.
This way you can say you have the Gen1 Mental Addiction kit.

I'll pull out the jig and make you the new pipe and send it off to the powdercoater this week.
I'll also get you a heat shield...
Give me a week to week and a half(Thanksgiving Holiday) and I'll have the correct parts for you.
I won;t be able to sleep at night until your intercooler is centered, all black silicone,Polished heat shield and T-bolt clamps own your engine bay.

it's running very stable actually... just gotta spend a few more bucks to get her running better...

beau,

thanks a million... more people should purchase things from you... your customer service is second to none...

what other cars do you specialize in besides mustangs and proteges? their may be a big market here in newark for your parts...

i'm definately promoting your kit to all the protege heads out here... and i have a friend who runs a shop that works ONLY on mustangs... i'm gonna tell him about you. i'm sure their may be somethings that he may need...

thanks again...

Beau does Chevy stuff also, and A LOT of sandrail stuff, which can use just about any engine you want. Beau can turbo anything, he even talked with me last night on the phone about turboing his lawnmower (though it might of been a joke ;) )

(rofl)

yea, beau will get ANYONE anything, and make sure it is done right. i remember how much sleep he lost when i had my FMIC slid the same way (though not as bad).

the only reason mine sits that far is because the second pipe that went on the turbo side of the intercooler was cut up when i was making mods for the starion intercooler...

all the tubes and fins are still showing so it's not making a difference in terms of efficiency... it would just look nicer if it sat closer to the center... but i'm not in it for looks anyways... either way, it's getting fixed soon... beau, the good guy he is... has offered to make that second pipe for me... :-)

thanks beau,
