Yah, I will be getting as many new mods as possible with money left over after the cost of doors and paint. I will keep you guys updated with the repairs and new goody's. (naughty)

Why not fix the door and spend the rest on boosting it. Make it into a beast!

LOL not getting that much money from insurance. At least not enough to do it right. Not going to have a ton of money left over after parts and paint. Although I might try and save a little more money buy doing the painting myself which I have done before.

Took a couple pics while I was out and about today from my camera so you guys can see some good pics of my wheels. The car is dirty but you get the idea:

I also got my insurance estimate today. Came out to be quite a bit I will be getting from the insurance company so I think I will do the work my self. So I think I might try and repaint the whole car and possibly get an RS front bumper. We shall see. Hopefully I can get all the work done by April 4th(Suby meet). I will keep you all updated with that.

No offence and i like the ride, but those wheels are haggard! :(

Just workin with what I got man, don't be hattin. My buddy gave them to me fo free! So you can't beet that. I then powdercoated them and painted the red lip. I had to get some wheels fast to replace my steel wheels cause my rear drivers side wheel was dented causing the car to shake at high speeds. These will eventually be my dedicated winter wheels or AutoX wheels. So yah I will definately be getting something better once I am able, most likely some Rota's. (yippy)

3/26/09 UPDATE:

I made some improvements to my suby's sound over the last few days. Installed some new 6.5" 400 watt component speakers to the two front doors. Had to custome fit them with a fiber board ring and they just bearly clear the door cards. They sound way better than the stockers of coarse. I don't have an amp for them yet plus I am going to have to swap everything over anyway when I get new doors. So here are some picks for yall:

Also I got my insurance check so I am beginning to get parts and checking out paint shops now. I also ordered some goodies: headers, shifter bushings, and an armrest cover. Thats all the goodies I will be buying for now until after I pay for parts and paint and see if I have any left over. Will keep you guys informed on how the repairs and goodies go. Dan

I haven't been following this thread, but I just caught up and love the ride! It makes me want a subie. She looks great and you're doing a nice job. BTW, my vote is for an eventual red/gold scheme...the pic of the car you are modeling yours after is super nice.

Thanks man. Yah if I can ever get my hands on some gold oem sti BBS wheels I would be down for the gold/red theme. It's a matter of which color wheel I get the best deal on so we shall see.

LIST OF GOODIES I HAVE COMING:

  • Single port headers
  • Shifter bushings
  • Redline armrest cover
  • Radiator/Oil cap
  • Rear strut tower bar
  • WRX wagon spoiler
  • CF grille

WAITING TO BE INSTALLED:

Lol right... Don't think I will ever go FI or at least not for a long while(gotta pay some debt off before I do anything expensive like that). I am going to have fun with the 2.2L for a little while and see how many HP's I can squeeze out of the ol' gall. lol The 2.2L EJ22 is actually one of the most reliable and tough motor subaru ever made so I am going to enjoy it for what it is now until I have the finances to do a swap.
