My gf got in an accident

thanks guys ,so far the estimate is at around 8k, but thats just outside damage, they haven't taken the panels or anything off. if it goes above 10k its getting totalled.

we test drove a mazda 3 today...I dunno, the only good thing I can say is it has a nice interior. The msp is just so much nicer than the new mazda 3 and is actuallly cheaper after rebates and dealer discounts.

Yeah the MSP is much nicer looking IMHO. The Mazda 3 looks too much like a Cavalier crossed with a Jetta.

update.

they are fixing it, but i won't have it back till at least mid january. if its not right or i don't feel safe or my mom doesn't feel like its safe i will most likely be getting another MSP just like it. I really really miss my car, I sat in it the other day when I went to the shop and I wanted to drive it away so bad. But I cant. Health wise, Im still hurting pretty bad, but I have an appt. with a specialist on monday so its all good

hope you feel better...if youre selling parts later...like you plan to burn it or something...i got dibs on the msp tranny...please let me know

lol, i don't plan on buring it lol. if i get rid of it i would sell it or trade it in even though i would take a hit on it , so i most likely will keep it. still dealing with the dealership thing, my mom doesn't want to do anything about it ,so I don't know whats going on with that

Hi. As everyone else had listed, I wish that you are physically doing okay as well.

My 97 civic looked very similiar (actually worse) than your MSP does. I thought it was totalled. When they took it to the impound lot, I requested they put it inside a warehouse. They did. I came back and literally took all the non-stock stuff out of my car (everything you could think of). Though, we all thought it was totalled - it was not. I was pissed. After they did what they could and made it look pretty again, there was frame damage and it was never the same.

Sell it, get a hit on it, and get a new one - frame damaged cars never sell unless it is a private owner and you utilize your own tactics.

Good luck!

my mom said she might let me sell it when its done, so we will see

yes you really need to go to the hospital
i didnt really hurt until the next day after that old ass man t boned me, i thought i was fine but i guess my adreanline was rushing but now i really feel pain
i have been in therapy for a couple of weeks now and almost no relief
please take care of yourself :)

I did go to the hospital about a hour after the accident. They gave me pain meds and that was it, it didn't help so I went to another doc yesterday. I am now on muscle relaxors, pain meds, and I have physical thearpy starting after christmas.

and yeah i hurt pretty bad still, lower back, upper back and shoulders, head and neck still :(

is it me, or was this the car that was getting repainted after it was found out that the car was "damaged during shipment" and the dealer "didn't" know about it?

yep this would be the car. but nothing was done yet about the dealership, my mom doesn't want to persue it :( but i might do it when i get my car back

Ok well I got some Es tails ,they are clear in the middle instead of the Sport Pink on the MSP tails, and I went to drop them off today. So I took some pics of the car. They have chopped off the back panels and things they needed to and have started to weld on the new stuff. Estimated date of return to me is January 16th at the earliest. That is if it passes all the leak testing and crap they have to do to it.

Anyways here are the pics. All the black panels are new.

As for me ,I go to physical therpy 3 times a week and it kinda sucks lol. Oh well Im doing better now.

well now you got yourself in a real bind... you SHOULD have listened to fellow members advice before and gotten a lawyer a long time ago to deal with what the dealer has done to you... now that your car got smashed up, things just got complicated

instead of being "polite" and passive about the issue, you should have quickly and decisively gotten a lawyer involved to get that legal issue taken cared of... it's all about standing up for your own rights... everyone on this board tried to help you by giving you the advice to get a lawyer

we now know for SURE that your car won't ever be the same again... it won't drive the same again... the damage from that rear end was enough to change the structrual integrety of the chassis and thus in a performance standpoint it will be a big problem... you WILL notice problems if you ever take it to a road course... even if you don't, I wouldn't want to keep that car if I were you

I apologize if you get any more emotional over this.. but those are just the facts and I'm posting all of this because I hate to see another fellow member get screwed... and it looks like it's already too late
