My gf got in an accident

rear ended. -> it wasn't totalled but did cost $10k to fix
and over 40 days.

Make sure your ok...take it from someone else that got hit years ago and learned the hard way. I "thought" I was ok....turned out I had broken numerous bones in my neck, and I thought I was just stiff from the adrenaline rush......lol....hey I was young and stun ok.

i just got back from the hospital. i have a cervical strain -aka sprained neck, torn trapezedial muscle, pinched nerves in my back, and my arm is throbbing. nothing broken though. i am in a lot of pain but i have some strong pain killers that i just took. think im going to bed now.

Sorry that happened to you, hope your okay. Try to take it easy and just focus on healing for awhile. A few months ago my wife was on her way home and got hit head on by a college chick who ran a red light. Totalled my wife's '95 Altima and the girl took off. They never caught her. Now I've got her in an '86 Chevy Caprice wagon, it's ugly and huge but at close to 5,000lbs I don't have to worry about her getting hurt because people in Wilmington don't know how to drive. (Don't worry, it's just temp., we're building her toy right now)

thanks....it was an older man, probably in his 50's that hit me, he was kinda trashy too, the van was like an 80's model econoline...luckly there was a lot of traffic and just happened to be like 4 cops that saw the accident.

Torn Trapezoid muscle? Ouch! sorry to hear of your pain and loss - get lots of rest, and be sure to talk to an accident lawyer asap - compensation for pains and expenses endured relating to an accident are totally coverable by the other party's insurance company. Be sure to go with a lawyer you can trust, if your family doesn't already have one, ask your mechanic (if you trust him) or your relatives and closest friends, find a good lawyer who is very knowledgeable in accident claims and let him do his thing.

Rest and take it easy, keep good company and let your friends and family's love heal you =)
