My Dealer Service Department is COOL!

I found out the good news today. For starters its been a week since I installed the Eiback ProKit springs....so I made an appointment and took my P5 to the dealer to have the alignment done.....

While I was there the Assistant Service Manager came up to me and said "That is a really sweet setup you have on your P5, looks great". at that point I knew I wasn't going to have any problems. After the NOOB finished doing the alignment...one of the senior tech's went over and checked everything out....he came over to me and told me that it came out dead on.....and will ride great...., and told me he would personally take the test drive and check it all out, he put the noob in the passenger side and took my 5 for a run around the block.....I was glad to know that the guys in the service department appreciate the effort and the care I put into my ride. Sure made for a nice experience today.

then on the way home....I took the back roads....I came up on this 328i.....this happened about a mile from where there is this wicked 20 mph "S" turn in the middle of a long straight highway.....as they saw me come up on their butts he decided to run a little then realized that the S turn was ahead and started to slow down....I had to laugh out loud....we entered the S turn at 40 mph.....and the beemer took the apex all the way through.....seeing as how it felt slow going through the corner...I dropped a few gears and ran right up on his ass and and never left MY LANE....lol he took off...and we crusied for a few miles at 90, the 5 was as smoothe as glass....rides great.....then the beemer had to turn left....he started to slow....an since there was no on comming traffic pulled over in the other lane...as I passed him he gave me a (thumb), all in all....a good trip to the dealer and back.

sweet! I personally dont know what I like better...flying down a straight hauling ass, or flying through some nice sharp corners....

I dont know. Where I live there is a road Highway 42 that goes from my area to the coast. It snakes back and forth and has a lot of 30 mph corners, they are pretty sharp too, but they are banked so you can take em faster, and if your in a sports car you can fly through em like no tomorrow.

without a doubt...the twisties....

we don't have them here much....but our cars were MADE for the twisties....

I had the opportunity last fall on vacation to litterly drive for HOURS through the twisties of New Hampshire...and I loved every second of it....which our roads were like that here, at least SOME of them.

I hope my dealer (U Mazda) is as cool as yours when I take my P5 in to have an alignment after my Spool springs installation. They should be, the GM told me what mods he has on his and that I should do the same (CAI, exhaust, springs).

Of course, the dealer may end up doing the install too... they've given me the lowest quote so far, $400 for both install and alignment.

grrr....... my Dealer won't even touch aftermarket parts due to

" Liability issues "
