My Car.....part 2!!!!!

Dude, you have ZERO performance enhancing parts, your car is the definition of rice. Even after you get your car painted it will STILL be riced out. None of that s*** is going to make you:

Stop faster.
Accelerate faster.
Handle better.

It sure as hell isn't going to make your car look better. When you're all done I'll photoshop a picture of my car next to it and we can have a vote just to make sure. Stop kidding yourself, you riced out your car.

bring it on anyday dude....doesnt really matter here??? i'm not qualifying for the freaking sema show or something (wow)

Yes, a turbo setup at the bare mininum should run you $4k. While I might have been a little hard on you, let's not beat around the bush here, you riced out your car and I told you what I thought about it. I have a lot of respect for you because you have kept such a good attitude, so it's time to make the first step: Go back to the stock seat before you get into an accident.

well at least you're being honest. but i dont understand this seat thing. i had a friend of mine help me install the seat using the oem brackets. i mean the whole bottom end of the oem seat is on that racing seat. also we used all of the proper screws and its safely bolted down.

I am not going to lie, it's not looking good right now, but it's under construction. so I know it will look much better. by the seats being unsafe, I think he means that the stuff they are made of, might give up and break on a crash.

good luck with everything.

The seats haven't been properly tested and certified, the wrong kind of seat in an accident could break your spine. I'm not joking.

yeah man another person that makes some sense. i dont care what anyone says. about that bodykit i wanted to match it with the evo front lip/fog lights;kinda didnt impress me with its looks becasue it looked like my oem front bumper w/fog lights. right now i'm going to start the engine after i finish the paint. i wanna get headers, change the internal components, and other performance goodies. last i will get that long awaited turbo kit. hopefully within the next 6months the protege will be a totally different car.
just FYI, if you're going turbo, the header (singular - our inline-4's only have one bank of cylinders) will be useless

s*** i never thought of that. but the problem is that we threw away both seats and kept the brackets/harness. so what other seat can i use??

oh.. didnt know that. so what you think i should get to prep me for the turbo kit that i want to get.

probably the most helpful thing to prep you for turbo is a manual swap and a good clutch

wow that car looks terrible. sorry man, gonna have to go with pluto on this one. btw that s*** isnt a real sponsorship.

SPC? It's a joke man. It's the kind of deal that if you want to pu their name all over your car, you're basically paying them from them to use you. You need to stop now, get that seat out of your car before you get killed. Take off those horrid tailights, go get a few cans of krylon flat black and paint your car. That, or burn it.

yea a turbo kit is not cheap 4k sounds right unless u do some of the work yourselk. If it was me I would go 2.0 with a forged bottom end and a manual tranny with a clutch that will handle the hp. You are planning to put to the ground theres no sence in putting a stomp on it with 2 feet clutch if u dont need to keep it up
oh and also motor mounts

Cause you're being cool and want to learn, I think we should just start giving you information.

First, go to a junk yard and get some MX-6 seats and put them in your car. They aren't going to look pretty, but they feel nice and they will save your spine if you get into a fender-bender. After that you can get "cheap" racing seats (cheap, as in sub-$1000) that are fully adjustable and are crash tested, like these: http://www.sparcousa.com/pseats_street.asp?id=504 . If you want non-adjustable you can get racing buckets for $300 and will hold you so well, it's like your car's hugging you. You'll also get JDM +1 points, cause you know that's what you're really looking for.

After you get your new (used) seat, stop at a book store and get the book Maxium Boost by Corky Bell. Trust me, buy it. Keep it in your bathroom and read it every day on the throne, just enough that you can learn a little bit and let that information sit so you're ready for the next lesson.

Forget painting that beast, take off the bodykit (for now) and spraypaint the car flat black. Get a real set of wheels, clean up that interior, then save up to get all your body work done at one time at one shop. You'll be much happier in the end.

Get on AIM and send me a message, I'd be glad to bail you out if you run into a tricky part in your new book... Just don't IM me while you're shitting cause that's gross, dude.
