tell them to prove that the car had a CAI at one point. and ask them what does that have to do with u since u didnt have one at the time the engine blew. and when u buy a certified preowned car from the dealer they are supposed to check everything and give u the warranty .

their reasoning for the voided warrenty is that the clamps on the vac lines are not stock. And some how that proves that it had an intake on it, and that they tried to mess with the wastegate as well. They are gonna need more than that to prove it. At least they gave me a retal today... ******* taurus's suck monkey cock as well.

You bought the car from the dealer right? If so, then there's a contract. Did they specify in the contract that the warranty is void because of what they've been indicating? If they knew about this before they sold you the car and gave you warranty, then it should be honoured. It looks like they're just trying to give you the run around. I hate dealers like that! They think they're king s***. Do like others have suggested and lawyer up and show them where they should stick their warranty. See my letter I wrote to my dealership about my transmission problems. My warranty has now been completely voided but they did cover the transmission under "good will".

I have over 50k miles now the vast majority of those miles at 12PSI-13PSI. I never ever boost in high gear at a low RPM period.kwiktsi said:

Small Update: They drained the oil out of the car. They only found about 20 oz. of oil in the entire engine. Somebody ****** up an oil change or something. There was also oil coming off the turbo so thats fried as well. The last people to do an oil change was Cherroke Ford (the dealership i purchased it from) so it is their fault if they ****** it up. The weird thing is that I checked the oil two or three times and it was allways in the optimal range. WHERE WOULD THE OIL GO?

I doubt they would only put 20oz. of oil in. i bet you were burning it and didnt even notice. I had the same oil consumption problem when my engine began to knock.

You said there was oil coming from the turbo- how much? If it is severe, that will suck the oil out like you wouldn't believe. is there a hole in the block from a rod getting tossed? If so, you can't expect it to be full either. Without seeing it, I couldn't tell you what happened. It is possible the turbo crapped out and you lost oil through there causing the motor to blow.daedalus said:

i think you guys are right. They voided the warrenty officially today b/c they claim someone tampered with the car and drained oil out of it causing it to seize. But i'm pretty sure that it is impossible to drain the oil without jacking the car up. It is just to low to the ground with the side skirts. Would you agree on that? The things the dealership is saying just doesnt add up. I have also put a claim in on my insurance (full coverage) based on the dealership claim that the car was tampered with. IF they could cover it that would be great. With the 7000.00 the dealership is cdharging I could replace me engine with forged internals, a potato, and some other goodies. I just know i wont be having any service done at a mazda dealer ever again.

Saying the FS-DET isnt reliable under boost is just about as dumb sounding as saying a rotary isn't reliable. TOTALLY uneducated opinions here. Sure, some are better than others and every one of these cars is different. Everything that makes it an MSP was put on by a technician in Washington.
Get real and get educated before you all come on here spouting nonsense. Just because 20 out of 3000 have killed a motor doesn't mean they're unreliable. Look at Subarus notorious water jacket failures and Nissan's horrible electrical problems as of late.
Its a machine, built by a man. Its going to break.
