My Bazooka

So I installed a bazooka tube this weekend and so far I am pretty happy. It was simple to install and is easily removable if I want the trunk space. It takes up about half the width behind the third row seats. I was just looking for a fuller sound, not to really bump that hard. I got an 8" 50w tube and it is more than enough bass for me.

If anyone is looking to install something similar themselves, I found that the sirus radio oem instructions were pretty helpful. They detail how to remove all the panels from the radio back to the trunk on the passenger side.

Hey, I too just pull out my old Bazook RS804 (8” non-powered) from the garage over the weekend. I assume the powered version uses the same sub as the non-powered, which can handle ~180-200w RMS, 400max. The tiny internal amp is holding you back.

I recently installed the 8" 50 watt bazooka in my 2009 mazda5, stock 6 speaker system. Did exactly what i was hoping, added bass and rear prescence to the overall sound. Had to turn the bass level waaaay down. Works really well.
