My Audio Install

I'd say it would probably be the sealing off of the trunk the way it was done... both deck lid and around the face of the sub, the porting it through the rear deck.. essentially the sub's front and back waves are completely seperated, and the sub itself is completely sealed off from the trunk... essentially it is sitting in the cab of the car.

this lead to ZERO, and I mean it vibrations in the trunk. and as a bonus it quieted the exhaust. But I'd have to say that the enclosures and dynamatting of the doors is also really impressive as well. my car is running with an open downpipe right now, and its not even close to being as loud as it is outside the car.

subbing for the rest of the pics (if there is gonna be any more)

I'm going to Dynamat the entire trunk. Unfortunately I read that sound deadenning showdown thread after I made my purchase, otherwise I would have just bought about 40sq.ft. of the RAAM stuff.

I think I'll try doing the entire trunk, decklid, and maybe do something with the rear seats (mat the metal and insert the Ensolite into the seat spaces or whatnot). That should take care of everything.

Would you suggest matting the trunk side, or cabin side of the deck lid? Or does it make any difference?

Do both sides of the rear deck.

I just did my rear deck and trunk lid with dynamat extreme and then a couple of pieces of extremeliner on top of the dynamat extreme and it made a world of difference when it comes to quieting my droning exhaust.

Got any pictures of the deck matting? Which exhaust? I'll probably do the deck and doors next with RAAMAudio stuff, since it's cheaper than Dynamat and can be purchased in a long sheet.

No pics, but it looked a lot like Ryans. Just imagine the rear deck covered in dynamat.

My exhaust is the ION 3" turboback with a resonator. With the bigger turbo on it the thing drones a ton.
