My Apology About the 2Loww Group Buy

PLEASE read this ENTIRE thread before you jump to bashing Jamie, who is a great guy and is going great lengths to make up for this shortcoming in product quality. Remember, everyone has recieved one bad product or another (ive had my fair share), and hopefully these are isolated incidents. I hope that he can prove by sending a second lip that fits that his products are top notch.

Lets just say that I am not in the least bit pleased with you or your company. I do feel that you have provided excellent customer service and your demeanor has been far beyond 100%. However, I have just spent the last three hours traveling from one body shop to another with your perfect quality product, which frankly sucks. The person that is the most respected and trustworthy body worker within a 90 mile radius said there is a 10% chance the lip will fit after severe sanding and dremmelling (you cant heat fiberglass), and even then will CERTAINLY have severe gaps. Every other place refused to even work on the lip because of the huge chance of me being pissed with the results. The passengers side is off by one and inch. The drivers side is off by almost 2 inches. Thats just the fitament of the way it wraps. Lets not even discuss the fitament of the way it sits on the bumper.

I want a refund of $275.00 PLUS shipping to Canada IMMEDIATELY via paypal. Ill even send you back your bulbs with it, and you can have the Altezza lights back after you pay me to ship them to you as well, because when I tell people about the fitament of your products im sure 99% are going to want their money back. To make matters worse, I had to attempt to fit the piece of crap lip 6 times to get people to try to offer to work on it for me, and in the process inevitably scratched my friggin paint on my brand new bumper, which I will have to have repainted at the cost of almost $500.00 by the dealership.

On top of this, I backed you and your product 110% on the forums, and now I look like a ******* idiot because your product comes so far from fitting that I actually had one of the body shops laugh in my face when I showed them the fitament of the product.

Please understand that I am trying to be cool, calm, and collected, but inside I am beyond pissed at this silly waste of time and money. I feel horrible for every one of the 30 people that entrusted their money in this product, only to find out theirs probably fits just as bad as mine if not worse.

You need to respond to this email or contact me immediately at ******* so we can arrange this immediate refund.

now i dont feel so bad about getting into it with jamie.. too bad people on the board treated me like afucking marter when all i was doing was trying to help.. so now nateys lip foesnt fit.. matts lip doesnt fit.. sucks too.. but.. i will from now on shut up and let the sheep go on about thier own..
 
could be isolated problems because s*** is bound to happen, which is why i suggest people test fit their s*** asap. unfortunately im sure natey wont get his money back for the lip cause he already dremmeled the s*** outta it.
 
I tried to fit mine as well....but it didnt fit. I even noticed today that the pieces that go into the fog holes are not even close to identical!! I too scratched my bumper trying to fit it. I am going to my paint guys shop tomorrow and will see how he feels about it. Also, there is a crack in one corner that i will have to see if my paint guy can fix it. Im not sure the more i look at it due to where its at.

The bad part of this is that i HAVE to have it on before the end of Feb for 2 magazine shoots (one is for a cover).

Im gonna be pissed if after driving 35 minutes ONE WAY to my paint guys, and we wind up not being able to use it! I guess ill RE-post tomorrow.

Man, I'm sorry that I did not take a picture of my ****** up bumper that caused by fiberglass. If I did, most of you would probably rethink again before buying these. In addition, I'm really sorry to hear what happend, I hope everything works out for you man. Good luck..

sounds like my VIS group buy , what is wrong with people these days no one seems to take any pride in their work.
 
I was very pleased with the quality of the actual cf in the VIS hood. If only the latch would have been molded the correct ******* direction. Heh :(
 
yea i broke something but it didnt seem important (more weight reduction) . i have to take the grille to my guy tommorrow at noon and hell tell me if he can get it to look right and how much. the only problem is a crack on one of the wings where you screw it in, but he should be able to fix that, and dremmel out the holes or re drill holes. the only thing is, maybe you can provide some insight john, but the bottom lip of the grille has three holes in the back but the stock location has like two pegs sticking up? how did you get that to mount, or did you just use like two screws and thats it?

Amie offered me a free lip as a customer service gesture. well see how it fits, although i already stated my apology after this incredible gesture, and will really promote them if it fits well.
 
I have a feeling that you will be very happy with the lip DGM is sending you. From what I have seen lately they are REALLY trying to make quality products for us.
