Paddle shifters make complete sense for many track cars. I still don't buy the fun/performance advantage for the street. (Even though I know they shift faster, w/ DSG.)

I think it's pretty telling Car and Driver still wanted to drive the new Audi R8 in stick. And Audi does the paddle thing better than anyone out there now.
