If I were dumb, which sometimes I am, I would have never known Miata's were Automatic until you said that statement. The only Auto Miata I have seen are the new NC's, as far as the NA and NB's I have NEVER seen a automatic one.

Unfortunately, they exist. Not really a lot of them, cuz it kinda defeats the purpose, but they're out there.

I know they are out there, it's just you don't see many at all. But, like I said, the NC's changed it. Most of those rolling around are autos. From what I have seen, atleast. We had 3 auto's on the lot and 1, I repeat, ONE manual.

Not in my book buddy. Autophobia is never justified. Every car has a right to shift for itself. Just because you want to be a control freak and shift for it doesn't make it right. You better get some sensitivity training because this sort of bigotry will not be tolerated!

my gf drives an auto NB. its been 2 years since i meet her and every time i see it i just have! to tell her that it sucks. i still have the hope to see it manual one day...

BUT... the NC auto's have F1 style paddle shifters... so that makes up for it with them...

not quite. True f1 styles are electronically actuated manual transmissions. Most 'paddle' shifters are just automatics with a little extra control to make it feel sportyer

he didn't say they are the same Actually from what I've read is the auto's in the NCs are pretty smooth. If it was just a daily driver, i'd rox an auto. manual's are over rated (blowup)
