Mustang Convertible: Why not?

Driving skill helps the most, i drove my z28 on the ice multiple times with an automatci slushbox and 275/55/16 all seasons through 3 diff ice storms and did just fine. However, the msp is so much fun in the snow its rediculous.

Found one Saturday, thinking it over.
Silver V-6 5-speed Mustang with a CAI, Shaker 1000, leather, brand-new tires, spare set of stock wheels, 48K miles: $15,800, neg.

Found a blue V-6 with a few less miles for less money today, but I need to call and find out if it's a stick.

Eric, I'm not sure I'd go with a Mustang that's already been modded, it's likely been flogged on if that's the case.

'05. Only mods on it are the CAI and the GT grill/lights. It's also in really nice shape.

depends on the age of the owner

I still like to mod my cars, but I am far less likely to flog them now than I was when I was a teenager/early 20s

or maybe it's cause the 6 has enough power that it doesn't need to be flogged

So, I bought it. $14800. Extra parts include the spare set of wheels with actually quite good tires, a spare throttle body, the stock intake, a spare rear bumper and a spare stock muffler. He also gave me his Haynes manual with it.

The car rocks. 210-ish HP, 240-ish torque is very nice, handling is good on the street, I'm waiting for an autocross in October to find out how good/bad it really is. The shaker stereo is very nice. Ride is good, seats are comfy, there's enough room for my whole little family. It has nearly every option available on the Mustang that year, including the funny "mycolor" thing that lets you select and/or create your own colors for the gauge cluster. Mine is currently set for Purple, 'cause that's what my son asked me to set it to! :D

I'll fire up some pictures tomorrow, in daylight.

Pictures here.

Yay new car!! :D

Guess nobody managed to give a proper answer to the question "Mustang Convertible: Why not? "

Congrats on your purchase!! Hope you have a great experience with it.

not sure if it was posted yet but i know they had them in 04 and not sure if they had them in 03 but a the SVT Cobra convertable would be a something that you might like alot, from what i hear they handled decently and those are the only 2 years i believe that they offered independent rear suspension for the mustang, the new ones have a live axle which hinders there handling, but its on the cobra version that had the independent rear.

Dam didnt look at the posts lol, well it looks good man.
