Multi-pronged problem.

Hey guys,

Was on my way to get a dashcam installed, I'm driving down, hit a fairly large pothole, and lose power to the HU. NBD I figure, and continue to drive. Once I hit my destination, I realize the doors no longer lock, using the remote or interior switch. Also, the computer "memory" is gone as well, (trip meter, avg. economy, etc). I'm thinking it's a fuse, or something similar? I just pulled my headunit out, and all the wires and plugs are still intact and tight. Took a look at the fuses under the hood, they all seem fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated haha.

Is the fust visibly blown (with burn marks on each end of the filament) or is it just broken in the middle of the filament? With a strong enough shock it's possible to break the filament in fuses and light bulbs, though admittedly it's not that common.

No burn marks, which is why I dismissed it so quickly the first time I pulled up. However, upon closer inspection, the domelight didn't work either, so I figured the locks and audio were probably on the same circuit. The fuse element didn't look distorted or warped at all, just.... snapped?

In the US there is a "known issue" with the backlighting flickering in the stock head unit. I'm unsure of the failure, whether its internal in the unit or a byproduct of something else, but anything that causes the backlight to flicker "may" also cause the circuit to short. If the fuse blows again, worth having the dealer look into it.
