They gave you a ticket for tint in Vegas? Its the surface of the sun there in the Summer. They have limits on tint? How dark was it?
Here in Phoenix, the limit (IIRC) is 15%.

Wow. That is as light as Maryland is.
Good thing I didn't go for that 15% I was thinking about.

Thanks Officer Bill!

You got that right...but it's ok for a cop to roll up on me with 5% tint w/ guns drawn lol. I have 20% tint on mine for going on 3 years and have only been pulled over once. But damn in Arizona they should let ya'll use whatever ya'll want...doesn't it get damn near 130 degrees in the summer?!?!?!?!?

Where Mazdamaniac lives it gets to tripple diget temps. Where I'm at it was 10 degrees last night.

it could be 120 and bearable. when it gets to 120 w/ humidity..that's where it kills.

Well, anything over about 106 feels damn hot, no matter what.
The thing is, without blocking your windows, the temps inside the car can easily get up near 200, which can do some amazing things to the contents.
Using a good sun shade, judicious parking angles and leaving an air gap around the windows, I can usually keep the inside of the car below 140.

Even now in the winter (daytime temps in the 60s, nighttime in the 40s), the sun will burn the side of your face on a nice drive.

So, yeah, we should be allowed to tint our windows any way we please.
Judges think we need to protect our cops, though, so you have to be able to see inside.
