I hate it that my first post is about a problem, but hopefully if someone else experiences this it'll help.
So, my girlfriend is borrowing my '03 Skivik to go to St. Louis because she doesn't want her MSM in the snow, my idea really, I'm constantly making up reasons to drive her car (I really miss my '97 Miata, and my '01 S2000).
Anyway, I'm pulling out of work and I notice the CEL, oh great...first thing that comes to my mind is that she's gonna' think I was driving it like a maniac and broke something.
Turns out she didn't go to St. Louis, the weather looked too bad, so she ended up taking her MSM to the local Mazda dealer and waiting 2 hours for the following information...
1. Code P2004
2. Loose electrical connection on EGR Boost Sensor
3. Engine temp at time of code was 59
4. Code was set at 3 mph
Whew!
Anyway, if you CEL comes on but your car is running perfectly, and all the fluids are cool, you may not have to wait a full 2 hours at the dealer for them to find this little problem. I hope we were an isolated case tho'.
