MS6 Brakes

I think I read somewhere that even if your tracking car drilled brakes aren't very good. I thought dimpled rotors were the new thing...

Depends on how they're done. If they're cast and drilled afterwards, the areas near the drilled spots can potentially crack over time due to machine stress. If they're cast (which is usually only OEM), then they're not prone to this.

I've ran drilled, slotted, and drilled/slotted. IMO, for spirited street/light track I preferred the slotted. Just go with a pad that is designed for the use, not a soft compound, or you'll be changing pads frequently.

brake lines and good brake pads will give you the best pedal feel. making the driver more responsible than the brakes. dont drive your car faster than it can handle. this car oem has one of the best stop to weight ratios. only cars that come stock with brembos stop quicker. speed 6 has a 113ft full stop? damn good if you ask me.

Unless you are tracking your car, both drilled and/or slotted are pretty useless for street driving. I especially hate drilled rotors, the added noise just isn't worth it. I'm not even found of slotted as they are usually more expensive. For street use, a rotor is a rotor as long as they are the same size. Pads are more critical. Seems most people want drilled/slotted just because of looks.

Actually you really don't want drilled or slotted rotors for track either. The drilled/slotted trend started back when the pad compounds would emit gases when hot. The newer compounds don't do this and the venting is not as needed. The drilled/slotted rotors not only cut down on the usuable surface area of the rotor, but they also give nice failure points for the rotors to crack along.
