MS3's Being Delivered?

I received emails from two dealerships today saying they don't expect to receive cars until next month. This will be a loooong few weeks!!!

I hear where you're coming from. It really boils down to how an individual feels. For me, $500-1,000 isn't a deal breaker. I would rather have the car now then be SOL if I couldn't find one in the winter/spring.

Jesus, if my salesman was reading this he'd be licking his chops.

Not to mention pick the options instead of searching for a used one or whatever the dealer has left at a later date. To get the car the way I want it from the git-go is worth paying $17 over invoice (that includes taxes and all fees).
AND... first kid on the block bragging rights.

I am looking to be trading in my p5 for an ms3, whenever they come in. Our CX-7's turbo and navigation setup has me lovingit. The p5 just sits now, and when we drove it recently, it does not compare. Take the cx-7 motor, throw that in the 3 with the navigation setup in the grand touring, load it up, then I got my ms3. I just need to find a dealer who can set it up.

well im bracing myself for more waiting... got the call from salesman today that the cars are still sitting in Japan and the mazdausa rep says it will most likely be mid to late october before they arrive at the dealer

DAMN mazda, why couldnt you tell me this BEFORE i sold my car!!!

s***. My loan rate is only locked in until 10/15.

Good think I haven't sold my car yet.

I don't think anyone will be able to predict how the MS3 will sell yet. FWIW, the MSP received good reviews (and rave reviews for its handling), made the cover of magazines, etc., and yet it didn't sell quickly. In Jan. of '04 I just missed picking up the last new Spicy Orange MSP for 16k from a dealer in TX. I've heard from many MSP owners who picked up their cars new for between 16-17k.

I'm also very anxious to check out the MS3, but I'd kick myself for paying full price and then finding out that 6-12 mo. later you could get one for several thousand less. I guess we'll find out soon enough how it's going to play out.

Per a post on another MZ3 board, someone in FL is apparently taking delivery of their Mazdaspeed3 this weekend.

Can anyone who's put a deposit down confirm whether or not they've been given a delivery date?

I'm dying here...

I received an email from my dealership in Ottawa this week on Tuesday. The general sales manager informed me that they would be getting two MS3s in their first shipment. He stated that they would be arriving this coming week (i.e. Sept 11-15).

Who wants to buy my MSP?

^^^What he said.

I agree as well. I got my MSP at a relative bargain in 2003.5, but I paid full price for my MS6, paying for the privilege of being one of the first to drive it (always said I would NEVER do that...LOL). The MS3 is more of an unknown commodity. I would hate to have to pay full price for it only to find that it was drastically discounted a few months later. However, I don't want to wait only to find that there are none left because it turns out to be a hot-seller. I want this car too much to take chances I think.

I called many dealers in FL. Looks like it is on its way, "any day now" was reported by one dealer, who said they will be giving the great deal of MSRP if we want one.

Several thousand off? They're priced at $24.5 and $23k. The MSP may have been a great car, but it didn't have anywhere near what the MS3 appears to have in performance value. I'll be shocked if they get to be more than 3 thousand off, but only time will tell. Maybe if they make some in Spicy Orange, they'll get that low.

Hooked you again, aye? I'm pretty wrapped up in the hype, too, but I also believe there are gonna be a lot of great cars coming out in the next few years. I'll try to get an MS3, but I can miss out and not feel too bad. I'll still be driving my MS6, after all.

Lol, most MSP's that were picked up heavily discounted weren't Spicy Orange. MSP's just didn't move as fast as the dealers wanted, and they priced 'em to move after a while. Part of it seemed to be a mistake by Mazda in how many they shipped to certain areas. The Mazdaspeed dealer network is larger than back then and it may not be an issue this time around. I'm anxious to test drive the MS3, but even if I want one I will wait long enough to see how fast they're selling. Two or three grand is still two or three grand...

the more and more i go to mazdausa's website (almost everyday now) the more and more i want the ms3. i went to my local dealer and asked about it and he told me late october. but i plan to wait it out. all mazdaspeeds have dropped in price BIG time when the year is over. nows the time to grab a ms6. and 1 year from now ill be finishing up college so ill be in a good position to be getting a new car....and hopefully like everyother mazdaspeed i can get one of those puppies for thousands off.

plus i hope to GOD they realease a 07.5 version and come out with my laser blue mica!!!!

Haha...Nice Mazda transition MP3Architect...I have to say your rendition of the MS3 in laser blue mica with the rims and grill looks F'in sweet!

I'm going to be so jealous of you MS3 guys!

Have the MS3s even arrived in NA? Anyone stalking the loading docks and taking pics?

I too am waiting to see how well the MS3 sells here. Hopefully next spring/summer they will be a little less.

Does anyone know invoice on one anyways?

S-Plan GT: $22,404; Sport: $20,804. Add $595 destination charge. Invoice is the same.

Just brought my MSP in for service. There's a red MS3 sitting on the lot all wrapped up. Must have came in last night.
