Rainman said:As has been mentioned, all this conjecture is worth nothing. Wait until you drive the car and then make your decisions. If you don't like it after you drive it then walk away and leave it for the next guy. There will be lots of people waiting in line to take it off your hands.
After all, these are only cars. Some people will like the MS3 for various reasons, others will like the WRX for other reasons. Others still will like both of the cars for even other reasons. Ultimately, you drive what you like. Lots of people criticizing them drive neither. Neither of these cars is a LADA; they will both have strengths and weaknesses compared to each other, and other cars.

A Russian Fiat, literally. The Italians built the factories for the Soviets awhile back and they're still being used. I drove a Lada Niva (kinda like a early Ford Bronco) while I lived in Moscow. It's a very basic car that is sometimes sold in Canada and other places.Antonio DiMarco said:Forgive my ingnorance. What does "LADA" mean?
Testicles. Get some.avarela86 said:On a side note, I would also go with an SI any day before I go with a first year producion car.

Really? I had understood that the MSP had one of the better power band feels, along the lines of a small v6. supposively fairly smooth.Gaboost said:I wouldn't say that just yet. The MS3 is alot heavier, so power to wieght comes into play. The Si is no lightweight either, however. I know the MS3 makes alot more power, but for my choice I would take the SI easily. FWD and turbo torque suck, I hated it in my msp, and the ms3 makes alot more torque than that did.

Mazda, please put this engine in the NC MX-5 and create a solstice gxp/sky redline killer. Now that would be something more along my liking.

We all have our own opinions and should respect others. Not tear someone to pieces just because they like something else. Personally it is my belief that all cars have positive and negative aspects about them. You really believe someone could make the "perfect" car? Heck, in my lifetime I've owned a Mazda, Acura, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Ford, Hyundai, and a Chrysler.
CHICO2003 said:Supposedly, the TS on the MS3 will be relatively non-existent. I'm a skeptic as well so I'll have to drive one to believe it. That said, all the so-called experts said the TS on the MSP was unbearable.... my guess is they're just a bunch of pu$$ies who can barely bench their own body weight. I didnt find the TS on the MSP to be a problem at all... and I've driven her plenty hard.
As far as your argument to get the SI instead goes.... While I admire Honda's reliability and find it to be superior to pretty much every other car on the planet, I feel the car (in stock form at least) is rather bland looking. The interior is a love it or hate it thing too... after driving one, I'm on the hate it side. way too funky for my taste. the seats are also far too supportive/tight for me. On top of that, while it may be possible to crank that sucker's hp up to the mid 200's fairly easily and cheaply... it'll undoubtedly still require you to rev the ever lovin s*** out of the engine in order to take advantage of this. While some people may like this, I find this to be absolute BS. Think about it like this... when the WRX came out the most common complaint was that it drove/accelerated like a basic impreza... until you got to around 4k rpms... then it turned into a monster. Well, with that logic, these low tq, rev happy engines honda produces shouldn't be as well received as they are. Afterall, the complaint is basically the same... except, instead of 4k rpms... it's more like 6-8k! staying in the 'sweet spot' of the rpm range has to be a b****!!
I'll take a car like the GTI or MS3 over that crap any day... power is accessible pretty much whenever. but hey... honda's are still great cars! My Element kicks ass.
Ed Zachary! Are the K20 internals gonna 'esplode' if you do that?Renesis8 said:Not sure how long the K20 will last tho.
