MS3 TMIC pulling air from?

and somehow knowing how to loosen a clamp here and a couple of bolts there and using a hacksaw to cut a pipe so you dont have to drop the suspension when installing a new exhaust, or pulling some plastic ducting and replacing it with a shiny metal tube that draws cooler air from the bumper or putting a valve that goes swooosh.......makes people experts on cars? please, 90% of the people here began their "tuning" careers by just trial end error or by just copying what other have done (not knocking on that at all, takes guts and determination to mod your car in your garage). My point is just that learning about cars is subjective, I went to an automotive school for 5-6 years and covered everything but specialized in building and machining performance engines, does that mean that I have a right to tell someone that just does basic mods to a car that they need to "really" learn about cars before they buy a Cobb AP, or a mbc?......we are all modifying our cars beyond what the manufacturer recommends to be "safe" (for warranties anyways) and we all sometimes do things beyond our knowledge, in this case a kid installing a CAI when he doesn't figure out for himself what the underhood ducting is. after all , out here you can sometimes learn more than on some manual. anyways all is good (except for $3.95 a gallong that i pay for)

There's a difference between "knowing nothing about cars" and "using simple observation skills and understanding of how the world works" to trace the route of air through the ducting.
