12 metal screws
6 plastic screw tabs
3 pop up tabs.

some maneuvering.. you have to unclip the mazda emblem from the back.. 4 clips, top bottom left and right..

then the black part pullsbackwards(Towards the engine) and unclips in 4 places near the middle.

ok kool kool well i thought that that black thing that u told off was like a "guide"for the air to get to the intercooler do u think it would like not stop air but make it harder for it to get to the intercooler it was just a idea cause i was looking all around my hood and sow that it did that

the two parts that vent the air into the hood vents stay on the bumper.. you have to take them off to take that black part off but you can put them back on when you are done.

ow ok well i was just putting in my 2 cents well ya ill take a look at it in the morning for me but ya it looks clean u dont see no black its a clean front end lol

Its hard to see .. I never took straight on pictures because I hated how it looked. I guess I can reinstall it and take some pictures. soooo much to do..

its part of the front bumper. would have to cut it off with a dremel or something.

I own the car. I took it apart yesterday. I'm telling you it is attached to the bumper.
