MS3 Owners: Show us your wheels

I work entirely too much, I haven't even had a chance to wash the car since the wheels went on let alone get together with my buddy to take some pics. I do have Sunday off and he mentioned wanting to shoot his car so possible then. Also on Monday there is supposed to be a mini-Speed meet, I'm sure there will be some pictures taken there.

Don't remember if you said this but did you have to roll the fender to get the BBS to fit? Also you are on coil overs, correct? I don't know much about wheels/suspension set up and I'm trying to learn. Also, why do you need to replace the campers when you change out to coil over suspension? Thanks for any help.

Damn... those Work look nice but I wish they were the ones without the rivets. Those SSR are sick but not sure on a MS3...

my new shoes, Enkei RP03's wrapped in the stock potenza's

damnnnn that looks so beefy!

Agreed!! Those barely poke more than my 215/45 on a +40. Either an extremely narrow 245 or he's confused about the offset.

EDIT: Just checked Enkei's site and they only come in our bolt pattern with a +40 offset. Maybe I'll go wider than I thought when I need new tires.

should go with 235 40, its REALLY close to the stock overall tire diameter.

It is the correctly published size (18x8) and offset (+40) on the wheels and the published size (245/40-18) on the tires.
Here's a comparison shot of the KDW's vs factory rubber.
It's important to remember we're dealing with millimeters. 12 additional mm on the offset is only 1/2 an inch. Adding another 1/2 inch for the additional wheel width (1/2" inside, 1/2" outside) means the additional visible width over stock is almost exactly 1.0 inches to the outside, with the other 1/2" moving inward towards the strut.

As for the comment "should go with 235 40, its REALLY close to the stock overall tire diameter." Check with Tire Rack... the overall diameter of the 245/40-18 KDW2 is EXACTLY identical (25.7") to the 215/45-18 RE050A factory rubber.

STRMTrooperMS3,
I love the Bronze Wheels. I also have a Forest Green '95 300ZX that I think would look great with those shoes!

Where did you get them? Didn't see them on Tire Rack.

yeah, looks good. what width and offset did you go with? looks like this wheel comes in a few workable configurations.

+48 offset 18x7.5

took me forever to choose which ones I wanted, but i'm a sucker for 5 spoke rims,

Maff is hard...

[215 * 45%] * 2 = 193.5mm
[245 * 40%] * 2 = 196mm (+2.5mm)
[235 * 40%] * 2 = 188mm (-5.5mm)

*EXACT* diameter winner is the ever elusive 241.875/40 R18 tire...

LOL @ ur screen name...

Camber is the angle at which the top or the bottom of your wheels/tire leans toward or away from the center of your car.

The more you lower your car, the more negative camber you get. If you go much lower than 1" below stock ride height, you will need to replace the part of the suspension (camber arms) that controls the camber angle as the stock unit does not allow for adjustment.

These are campers and they are super comfy...

yup agreed, they look great. did you have any conversations about going wider with less of an offset? I'm an autocrosser and was looking at these @ 18x8+40 or 18x8.5+35..
