I did not own the Corvette nor was I driving it. The guy who did was a neighbo trying to get it out of his yard after a HURRICANE flooded his driveway (and a lot of other things). I think you guys might remember the small blow we had a few years ago called "Katrina"? He tried to "gun" the engine to get through the water. Stupid and expensive mistake. It turned out to be a lot deeper than he thought.
So in all my adult life (I'm 59 years old) this is the ONLY case of hydrolock I have seen. The water has to be really deep and you have to be very stupid and try really hard to do it.
