Privately-owned MS3 on eBay, 3100 miles, NJ

first one I've seen not from a dealer:

It'll be interested to see if it sells and for how much. This might be a good chance to get a good price on an almost-new car. Even though almost new, should still be $2-3K below sticker, but people may be spooked buying a used car like this.

With only 5000 being brought into the country, raving reviews in every magazine I have seen, and a 1st year production run I really doubt you will see them sitting in the lots with heavy discounting unless the reliability on them goes south quick.....
As with any other 1st year, limited availability car... the pricing will start well above MSRP and come down to normal market conditions once market stabilizes.. with a limited run at worse I think youll see prices somewhere between invoce and msrp prob. closer to msrp (its not like invoice to msrp is in the high thousands anyhow)

I just spoke with a dealer in northern California - he has four MS3s and was talking below MSRP. Unfortunately, they are all silver.

That used (3k miles) one in NJ that ended at $17k (below reserve) definitely reinforces what most of us already know. Though the jury is obviously still out, I think it might be possible to snag these for the usual $1k less than MSRP in the spring. At least, that's my hope. I know the dealership here in CT has had 3 Speeds (silver, black and red... all GTs) for over a month now. They're willing to deal... but it's just not the right time for me to be buying a new car. Hopefully my patience will pay off.
