I get a fairly solid 28 MPG in mixed driving... I've seen as low as 20 towing my trailer and and as high 31-33 on some really flat roads at around 60-65 MPH with calm winds.

Report your numbers here in this poll.

Thanks!

EDIT: Sorry metric guys :-( .... I was a little lazy putting this poll up

Is this for instantaneous mpg, or avg over a complete tank?

2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive?

Also what motor are you referring to? The 2.0 or the 2.5?

I had a 2wd 2.0 that got complete tanks between 36mpg and 24mpg
I have a 4wd 2.5 that gets complete tanks between 31mpg and 21mpg

AVG over complete tank and all models... I know there will be quite a noticeable difference between a FWD 2.0L manual and a 2.5L AWD

Just did a little road trip on the weekend..........
....cruise set at 115 kph (72mph).............7.1L/100 (thats 33.1mpg US or 40mpg for us canadians).
If a guy can slow down just a little and keep it around 100-105 kph, we've gotten 6.8L/100km.

Overall I am happy with the fuel economy on my AWD CX-5. On the highway (in Michigan) I can get about 23 to 25 for a whole tank and city is the same or lower. With good traffic flow and cruise control @90 the "current mpg" stays right around 16 mpg but it does increase substantially if I tailgate the vehicle in front of me. When I drive on the highway in Ohio I can get 30 or 31mpg because they drive 60mph LOL
