I can get at it from anywhere. The dash is empty.

The HVAC pulls out
The Glove Box Pulls out

Brian, just out of stupid curiosity how or what are you using to vent the crank case?

And here I was thinking it was more elaborate. I take it you don't pipe in back into the intake and such?

Nope... As I see it... Positive Crankcase Ventilator... Which means that the pressure is always escaping or leaking out... So why would I want that anywhere but out of my engine and engine bay.

Both vents on the valve cover, have a hose that bends towards the road, by the transmission and hang just below the oil pan level.. The two return nipples on the intaka manifold were drilled, tapped and then a set screw was used to plug the hole with thread lock.

interesting, my hose from the pcv to the intake likes to come off and makes my car run like poo.

edit: the hose being off could cause a leak in the intake mani which is making the car run like poo and not really the pcv- just a thought.

will the dash go back in or is it staying out for good?

1/8" MDF was flimsy but light and the foam is UBER stickey so I decided to cut out the shape in MDF and then use the foam to glue it to the firewall. It is Rock Solid.

Not "FOOSE" level or quality, but it's out of the way, light weight and most important, easy to access. The dash is held in with 8 Bolts so if I really need to get at everything, it can come out quick.

No

I have a Garage, and cars are waterproof.

Even if there was humidity, Ontario isn't humid in the summer like NB

I drive my car regardless of weather, so if it's raining I will drive it

I am not worried about anything ******* up on the firewall

It will not get wet there.

Remember, I don't even have wipers on my car. Lol Wet MDF is the least of my worries
