Full crank balance with flywheel and clutch attached. Reinforced mains, Greddy Timing Belt.

Greddy makes a timing belt?! Part number please!
Also, how did you reinforce your mains?

The Part Number will come in when I get the part from Ottawa...

The Mains were reinforced by welding small metal triangles on each side of each main.

Sweet. Keep us informed.

Wow, brave! We thought about doing this to my block but Beau decided it would be too dangerous and might alter the metal grain structure, perhaps weakening it. Way to go all out!
(yes)

ARGH, Brian, when you get done with this rebuild, be sure to post some videos of how it runs.

Holy s*** Yes.

I got the Turbo Oil Lines Finished, The Returb line was upgraded to an AN10 Aeroquip line. It's about 1" OD and very "Shagadelic"

The EGT Probe was finally welded in place and the DEI Header wrap was rolled on yesterday. I'm waiting on some Stainless Tie Straps to hold the wrap down, right now it's held on with plastic Zap Straps and somehow I don't think they are going to do the trick. I'm supposed to get them today, I'll post it up soon...

Brian.. You have NO idea how agonizing it is watching you get ahead of me and knowing I'm so close to finishing up but still just don't have my block! I thought this was the week... but Ferrea is lagging on manufacturing my valves, and the CNC of my main cap for the thrust bearing is in process... they are also behind on the crank balancing and the like... slightly frustrating... but oh well I guess! I just REALLY hope I'm together and running before April.

But still very exciting.. and I know how great it has to be for you seeing it all coming together!

I got the Manifold Back after getting the EGT Probe welded in the collector. The Header wrap was ordered in Black this time and the Proper Stainless Steel DEI Straps came in just today. Here are some Pictures of the Manifold with the Wraping and the manifold when it was new...

you should have gotten that jethot coated. it doesn't look as purty with the wrap. nice lookin header(sans wrap)

The Jet would not work as well. I have tested it and you can touch this whille the car is hot and running.

I am happy with the DEI, but you are correct. Jet or Fireball coatings is alot nicer on the eyes...

It's the thought that counts...

It was white before and lookd good so whatev. But thanks for the info...
