no, don't use that to LOCK bolts or studs. that is thread sealant. as in for pipe thread (NPT or BPT). it seals so fluid or air wont escape your pipe. it will do nothing for locking your stud in place. THIS: http://www.loctite.com/int_henkel/loctite_us/binarydata/pdf/lt3770_Threadlockers.pdf is what you want. you want the 243 for head and main studs, because of the oil resistance.

Today the Engine Was Tanked and the Deck Was brought level again.

The Pistons are going to be placed in the cylinder to check for clearance. If there is too much room, the pistons are being sent to Toronto that day to get 2 Thou of ceramic coating added to the piston head and skirt.

The Boys at Renco are used to much larger engines. He was surprised that the whole thing could be picked up by one person (Me), they had the hoist and everything... Oh, well, I hope this starts a new line of possible work for this big block wonder shop. They smiled when they saw how small the pistons were and then giggled when the remembered that there were only 4 of them... :)

lol..you should tell the to feel free to stick a couple extra pistons in there lol

Well I showed up with the old pistons from the Boom and the 4 from the new(er) engine and they went crazy, there were 7 Pistons plus the CP pistons, kicking around. It made more sesne after I told them they were there as a refernce for the Clearance...

Today the Wall Clearance was verified and it's going to fit to 3 Thou, which is nice and snug. there is no reason to get the coating and the Cross Haching is finished of the cylinders.

They are going to Balance the crank tomorow and as soon as I get the Mains, the crank will go back in with the pistons attached.

I'm going to take a picture of it when it's together...

Also, Got a quote today to paint my Carbon Hood, A-Pillar, HAVC, and Center Console Gloss White (Mazda Stock... 2002 Artic White) $200.00

I asked about the Carbon Line at the Edge, He said it would be masked off and look like it came from the plant like that.

Woot Woot.

Ordered More Decals for the Side...

This Season from front to rear.

Mazda Logo, Enki, Yokohama, Autometer, Garrett, Apex-I, Sparco, TEIN, ARP, Mazdaspeed.

A slightly oversized (From Last Year) Mazdaspeed logo was ordered as well, It's being used to mask off the hood. For you that remember my car last year. I had a Black Mazdaspeed Logo over the drivers side headlight. I'm going to put the sticker on the hood before they paint it white and remove it before the final clearcoat goes on. The Effect will be a carbon fiber decal on the front of the hood... Should make me a Wizz with the Ladies...

Well, they have a huge shop. I was very shocked the first time in there because it's in the "Sticks" about 30 Min from Ottawa.

He said that when there is downtime, he like to get the jobs done just becase a big job might come in that requires full staff. Plus, I think he's having fun with it because it's so "Small" compared to the 5.0 L
