mp5 turbo kit

Why not just buy the full MSP turbo kit and peice it together your self? Thats what im doing and when its all said and done it will be under $1000. another $150-200 and ill add in a front mount.

Under $1000?? umm are you factoring in silicon couplers, piping, braided stainless hoses, oil fittings, coolant fittings, bolts, heat shields, gaskets, etc?

I honestly don't think it can be done for under $2k for a reliable setup, and that's $2k USD

All factored in, this isnt the first turbo project ive done, i was a big dsm fan and had a nicely moded 91 tsi awd.

I do all my own work, if you shop around prices can be cheap. the most expiencive part i gotta buy is a msp ecu and im looking at $200 shipped for that.i got the coolent lines, manifold, s and j pipe already. Doing braided oil feed/return, gaskets are no big deal and ill do my own piping for the front mount. Really its not that $$$ to do if you take your time and show around.

oh sorry i forgot to add in the price of my guages, lol still not much.

Look on ebay, there is alot of piping kits you can buy. All you really need or want to do to it is add a lip or bead to the end of the pipe so the coupler has something to grab onto so it wont blow off.

Trust me having an IC coupler blow off a 22psi on a hard launch will scare the %^@# out of you.

i don't doubt it. but i need custom piping..because i have a custom setup. reference-look at my sig, the thread about my build. you'll see pictures.

so would it be better to go with the package from rr-racing.com. im only going for about 300 hp

In my opinion, there is no better deal for a clutch and flywheel if you get the StageIIR/Fidanza combo. If you feel you don't need the Fidanza, don't get it. There is an overwhelming love of it from those who have one.

ok ull have to explain on the gages. All i have ever owned was chevy's so im new to the hole import thing

The boost gauge does what you think it would do...tells you how much boost your engine is seeing. It can help you determine if something goes wrong down the road with your wastegate, etc, etc.

The Wideband will give you an accurate measure of your A/F (air/fuel) ratio. Too lean or too rich and you will have problems. It will help with tuning the car later on when you want to boost past the standard 8 psi. It's an expensive piece but could save you the amount it costs 10 times over. I would love to tell you from experience but I don't know if mine will ever arrive....(sad2)
