MP3 Stuff

ok question, i have the showroom brochure for the 03 mazdaspeed, does anyone have one for the mp3? if u do i'd be willing to buy it off of yo, im working on trying to locate the original owner to see if he has the window sticker off my car and i'd like the brochure to go with it.

also i found the July 01 issue of car and driver and it had this in it...

i will check if i have one.... im not positive i have an actually "MP3" brochure, but i might.. I saved every magazine that featured the MP3... I will check it out... I wanted to frame that two page ad they ran.

i just searched through my stuff.. I cant find a mp3 brochure... i have all the ES ones and a "My Mazda" magazine that has a picture of the MP3... but the picture has m3 style mirrors, chrome wheels, and a CAI... This was the first article of the MP3 that i am aware of. I will try and scan it tonight.

I know they had posters & stuff, but how come Mazda never ran any ad campaigns with something like this for the MSP? I think they were selling the 03s without much of a problem, but then they added the 03.5s. Someone at Mazda must have failed to realize that trying to sell twice as many cars as the MP3 (5000? MSPs vs 2000 MP3s) with no ad support would result in MSPs sitting on the lot with dealers letting them go for 5 grand under MSRP.

Mazda ran a few ads for the 03 MSP, I never saw anything for the .5's though. By the time those had been released they were pushing the RX-8 big time, and most of their adspace in mags were dominated by the 8. Yes more advertizing and more positive reviews would of led to the sucess of the MSP. It didn't happen though, and now mazda is thinking of axing the whole ms series

This is not accurate, there is only 1500 mp3s, and I rarely spotted any advertises except reviews from Internet & mags, before I purchase mine. Where when 90% of the MP3 were sold even before the car is arrived at port.

In the other hand, the MSP is a bit overpriced, almost triple the amount of MP3 and then not to mention there were no Focus SVT, SRT-4 and even SE-R Sentra at the time of MP3. Moreover, the MP3 was revealed with a shocking appearance change upon the normal Protg, but the MSP has only few minor facial and colors changes upon the MP3. One more thing though, this is the final production year of Protg, and next year the it will replaced by the Mz3, so Mazda is contradict its product in some degree too. I think these are the few majors factor that cause the poor sells of MSP, but my list could go forever if you really ask why.

nah...cause when i was lookin at the mp3...i also looked at the svt focus and the ser spec v sentra also...and chose the mp3 over both of them...so yes they had them at the time of the mp3

that would mean you bought your mp3 late 2001 due to the fact that the SVT Focus and SE-R weren't realeased until late 2001 as 2002 models.
