I weighed my stock P5 wheels/tires with my bathroom scale and got around 34lbs, while the RH/tire weighed in at 38. Of course this ain't the most accurate scale but it gives an idea of the difference. I really haven't felt any sluggishness with these on, the ride is just nicer because of the low profile and better rubber.

I used G2 paint on the calipers and I have to say that they are the s***. I thought I was going to run out of paint, since I read about a case like that in a previous thread, but I put on 3 coats and had enough for 2 more (1/2" left in can). I was also worried about brush marks being left by the brush that was supplied with the kit but the paint nicely smooths itself out, eliminating the need for a sponge brush. The paint is clean, rubbery, looks great, and immensely exceeded my expectations.

That's why I fully endorse this product and proudly wear their sticker on my forehead.

Kooldino, thanks for hooking me up. Your passion for boost has only furthered my thirst for the boosting deamons that feed the engines of few.

Looks tight!!! I think the RH's belong more on the wagon than the sedan. They look way better with them. As for the Calipers; they look good. The paint is a little off but that's ok

always loved the mp3 wheels on the p5. you have reminded me again how good it looks.

maybe when the stock wheels need to be changed ill pick up a set of used mp3 wheels.

Did you have to remove the calipers when using the G2 kit?

Car looks awesome.

Partly, I just unscrewed the lower allen bolt that holds the bottom of the caliper and swung it up/down while painting. I could've taken out the caliper but felt I already had the access I needed by doing this. I left the brake shoe on, which has 2 bolts holding it on. For the rear calipers I just left the whole thing on, it's not the same as the front and would've been a pain to dismantle. Here's a pic of the front:

I was thinking that sometime in the future when I get hold of a lot of HZ touch up paint I might experience with painting the G2 with it and see how it holds (on some crevice never seen) over time and if it's good then just do em all with it. Now that I have a good base that won't rust it'll be much easier to clean and to recoat with whatever I want.

Thanks for the info. How close does the yellow match to the Vivid Yellow? I am leaning more towards the red if they don't match that well. Hard to tell from the pics.

Thanks

Yeah, I agree with you 110% on that. Mazda should have had the RHs as an option.

Yeah, like I said man, those RH's look best on a P5.

Nice job on the calipers, btw!

As for the caliper matching...i was worried about it too when i first ordered the paint, but when you see it in person you can see that it doesn't TOTALLY match, but it looks damn good. I'm very picky about stuff like that and I was satisfied.

Doug-BTW, dig the shirt bro!

Like Kooldino said the color doesn't totally match (he also used G2), but I think that since it's lighter than the body it does stand out more, which is good and looks damn good. And since it's usually under constant shade, it automatically looks a little darker.
