Mp3 Player Worth Anything?

Hey Huys
I bought a 04 3s about 3 weeks ago and it was supose to have the 6 disc changer in it but it had the mp3 player instead. the dealer fixed the problem and gave me the mp3 player after they installed the 6 disc. question is, is the mp3 player worth anything? and is anyone looking for one? thanks - TOT

i might be...

how much you looking for it? or seeing as how you practically got it for free how bout sending it to cali for free too!! lol jk. late.

**disclaimer** I have my CD collection as MP3's already, so conversion isn't an issue. I also own a computer and have the ability/knowledge to burn CD's. CDR are now pretty damn cheap too ($0.05 each these days if not less).

I'm still at a loss why someone would want a 6 disc changer over the MP3 player. If you have a computer and the ability to burn CD's, wouldn't you rather have the capacity to play 12+ CD's instead of 6? Not to mention, the security of not scratching or having your "original" CD's stolen. I have one CD of 160 different songs, that I just have on random play half the time. Try doing that with your 6-CD changer.

Sound quality of a 128-bit MP3 is noticable to a trained ear in an audio studio or on high end home systems. In a running Mazda3, without acoustic matting (dynamat..etc) you'll never be able to hear the difference. Hell, I'd even wager that with mid-range amp's and speakers, you'd not hear the difference.

aye man!!!

aye youre ruining it for me. lol. this is why i want an mp3 player. but if you think about it, it is much easier for those who do not know how to make a data cd to have a 6 disc changer. i too already have a cd player that can play mp3's and have to agree that having 16 different cds at your finger tips is a lot more funner. but yeah whats the price on that mp3 player?

I've seen a couple people on here talking about buying one. Search around.

well I wasnt sure that i would sell it, ive never burned an mp3 cd before so havent really seen the benefits. right now i have a ton of cd's at the regular format i guess i could give the mp3 player a try:) the reson they switched it out was because on the slip it said the car had it and i paid like 500+ for it so i ended up with a 6 disc and the mp3 player:)

I used to have a cd player, and had to keep 3 cd wallets with 40+ cds in each to have all my music on hand. Now that I have the MP3 player I have 1 cd wallet that holds 25 CDRs. On those 25 CDRs I have my entire music collection in MP3 format (over 100 albums).

i also have my entire collection backed on my computer's hard drive, so like Status said there are no worries about my CDs getting stolen or scratched. It takes about 5 minutes to copy a full CDR (between 6-10 albums) onto a new disc and costs about $.05.

With the advent of MP3 players and satalite radios the traditional CD is quickly becoming like the casset tape. If you have a computer at home, especially a MAC which makes converting files to MP3 format a simple 1 step process with Itunes, it's time to switch everything to MP3s. After the initial process of burning everything onto CDRs you will absolutly love it.
