I believe perfworks said the SAFC would work, is that your source? What ever happened to that perf? I guess another BS thing you were going to bring the the Protege community but never did.

We have brought a new level of performance to this vehicle
Nice post, what does it mean? Andy built turbo kits well before you got there. Pistons and rods were made long before. Can you name one working product that you have brought to this vehicle?

Thanks again

Later.............Nick

I guess you missed the other post saying what happened.

Oh wait, no you posted in the thread that mentioned it, you just failed to read the part concerning it.

AEM project=good

if you guys weren't so busy i'd head up to York this week to check out the shop.

It was a local source.......

All of this bickering is the stupidest, most immature crap I have ever seen.

Its like we are in elementary "My engine managment is better than your engine managment and my dad can kick your dads ass"

I wish we could just wait, hopefully learn a few things, and then maybe we will get some answers as to how good or bad this thing is.

if it is crap, then let the flaming begin (in the proper section). If it is good then we will all benifit.

why cant people just be constructive. everyone acts like they have never made a mistake in their lives.

I am confident when I speak for everyone who cares about the development of new products for the protege community. bashing and flamming in NO WAY helps this process out.

well I am done, had to get that off my chest

If you PM me I would be more than happy to set something up for you to come up.

thanks for the offer but the rest of my week is pretty busy aswell. i'm trying to convince my houston buds to come up for some tuning in the fall so I may make it after summer.

TPW and Wagner Motorsports are away attending an event the rest of the week and weekend. When we get back on monday we will come on the forum and give an update for not just the EMS but cams, gears, and dyno runs on the NA stock Application for now.
Thanks for your patience.
I'm not trying to start a flame so don't attack me. . .I'm just very interested in seeing / hearing more.
Perf, you posted this last week. If there was an update, I missed it (very possible), but can you do me the favor of answering the above. Thanks.

Yeah, between my perfworks cams, wagner exhaust and turbo-perf ECU I'm pretty well set.

I want some numbers, but not as much as the actual product. Anything with this much development time behind it will be great. Also, someone is already running the header and said it worked very well even with a stock exhaust.

I wish the best luck to Andy and Perf on this.As everyone knows we are working on the same setup(AEM).We also have expanded out and have been working with several different engineers and chip manufactors, and have cracked the ECU codes. So chips will be avaliable around Sept/Oct.

We decided to throttle back on the AEM ECU due to overall cost and market price to the customer.

To any vendor reading, just some advice.Never blow your hone until the project is complete and the R&D is done or near it.The last several pages of this thread will tell you why.

Once again, I hope it turns out to be a good product that everyone can appreciate.

Although i am sure we all know this here.. i want to support perf on this... especially in comparison to the mpi tuner. 1st there is no comparison whatsoever. For MPNick to say anything against the AEM unit is absurd. The ghetto/rigged mpi tuner.. for that is what it is.. which was mostly built by perfworks in the first place(although he gets no credit) and hopelessly tied to together by MPNick is a minimal unit. I tried to explain how comprehensive the AEM is to the mpi tuner people... what a waste. No one can imagine just how awsome the AEM is. Yeah some say i am kissing ass... well **** em... i know amazing software when i see it(grew up with computers/programming) and the AEM unit is it. And as was just said.. soemtimes it is better to wait and perfect than rush and disappoint

Perfworks had nothing to do with the MPI Tuner, he had no input at all ever. He never used the MPI Tuner. It seems that it does not matter what thread you post on, you never post facts.

Thanks again

The drama is getting old. Period. I will say this much; every email and every PM that I have ever sent to Perfworks about engine management has been replied to. The emails I sent to Spool Turbo (RIP) and to Flyin Protege about engine management have been answered. The emails I have sent to Modern Performance on these matters have been thus far ignored. For me, I'm far more inclined to deal with people who actually give my questions the time of day.

Those are facts, MPNick. An opinion, which I feel is justified by looking at your response in the admittingly disappointing drunk thread, is that you take any shot you can at Perf solely to take a shot.

Perhaps Perfworks had nothing to do with the MPI Tuner. You have nothing to do with the development of the AEM, so if you've got nothing to contribute to the thread, then excuse yourself to matters that pertain to you.

End rant.

I just checked all of my PMs from this forum. I did not see anyone from you ever, not even one. So where and when did you send me any e-mails? It sounds to me like you are made for this thread. Keep the BS about the MPI Tuner off this thread and I have no need to be here. I can stay on the thread where people are tuning their cars.

Thanks again
