Moving on from my beloved 02 WRX and into an 08 MS3

The power to the wheels on a MS3 is very close to a stock 04-07 STi--- yes I said STi. 08 STi..who knows.

No the MS3 is not going to beat a 35k sports car in every category, but for all intents and purposes, the MS3 puts out similar numbers to a STOCK STi, which I beleive was the posters original point.

Well lets see, I never said the ms3 is better than the sti, that is just insane.

But I did said is closer to the sti than to the wrx. 0.90g for the 08 STi, 0.93g for the 07 STi, Ms3 is 0.87g and 8:24 vs 8:39, I say that is close in performance for $10k less. Wrx skidpad is 0.83g,

What is the wrx time at Nurburgring?

The only thing i can find is on a 92 model sedan ( if this is correct ) that pulled a 8.28.93 at the ring...upon a quick search the wrx pulls the same skid pad #'s ( these are 2003 skid pad #'s by the way)

The wrx and the ms3 are no closer than to the sti than the other..they lap close to the same times / skid pad test are the same as well. So once again ALL I WAS STATING TO THE PERSON THAT STATED - YOU BOUGHT STI PERFORMANCE FOR 10$ less was incorrect. What is your argument? really I don't see where your coming from.

I wouldn't go that far maybe wrx performance but not the sti(screwy)...sorry bud but comparing the ms3 to the sti is apples/oranges.

no way dude! i pull car 2 car lenghts on a freind of mine with an sti and when i was stock we where dead even, and i eeeeeasy blow away wrx's. My buddy now just has a cia and i'm running 18psi and i blow him away!!, the only advantage the sti has is from a dig cuase 4wheel drive if your rolling just a little its even stock to stock

The ms3 is almost Sti performance for the same price of a wrx. 0.87g is close to 0.90g for a lot less. That 0.93g for the 07 Sti is very good, and I believe that is the fastest year, Right?

You disagree with the statement the he got STi performance for 10K less. Now, he didn't got Sti performance, but close to. That is the argument.

wow! i realize i am on an ms3 forum but common guys .. stock for stock the ms3 and the 06-07 wrx's are running the same 1/4 mile times high 13's...driver311 currently holds the ms3 record and I can find out who has the 2.5 liter time held if needed. so poweslave and fitch you got a vid of those kills? now if your reffering to the 2.0 liter wrx's then yes those cas have alot less power to work with than the new models andI can see that ..sure.

not at all my friend. I am not jumping down anyones throat..just clearifying people statements is all. I have defended the ms3 tooth and nail on many occasion so I am not just being a subby fanboi....ask laloosh we have had several conversations.

Haha I hope I didnt start a riot. I expect the ms3 to be in between the wrx and sti performance wise, but a lot nicer interior.
