motor build?

This. And it really is as simple as welding the right one on if you've got the skillz :p

Lol i have welded abit before but i really dont trust myself cutting and welding s*** on here cuz u only get one chance and if i screw up game over. I also dont have any welding equipment.

Dude. You need to bolt the turbo on to see exactly what needs to be moved.

1) you will need a straight water neck coming from the thermostat housing
2) for the water line on the turbo, the center housing can be rotated up to 20 degrees off axis from the oil drain pointing straight down so that should give you enough clearance.
3) the compressor housing will need to be rotated so that the actuator does not hit the block
4) exhaust will have to be the last thing. Cut it and re route it to fit AFTER everything else is BOLTED on.
5) good luck with 8 hours. I've done other wiring before and my microtech took double that.

Best suggestion though is to be patient. Don't give up or get too frustrated. Not one thing on your car is a stock part so you're bound to have to check, fabricate and re check a few times with each part.

Your pics are good and more people on here want to see your car done than just you and we're here to help. Atleast I am. I know your pain cuz I just finished doing all this in the last year.

Ok thanks man. I think alamo told me that was the most it can be rotated though. I guess ill have to wait and see what the tuning shop says. Im def not giving up though lol not after goinh this far and spending all this money hellz no ill have a racecar soon lol.(RTM)

Even if it's not done right the first time it's not game over. You should see some of the things that come in messed up at my work and we turn em around. You'll figure out how to fix your issue soon enough in your own method though. Going to look saweet when it's done too!

Ya its gonna be sweet when it gets done. I was just hoping it would be done sooner so i can enjoy it for the summer. Samco rad hoses came in today along with my 400lph fuel pump. Radiator should be here soon and ill be getting my intake tommorow:)

So i think im gonna end up going with somone else to tune it they told me only a few wires need to be hooked up.

Go on Beyond and get in touch with Toma. He's VERY experienced tuning Haltech's.
Ya i just called toma yesterday after autodream ****** me around on that quote. Toma said hes cool with talkin to jdm sam and seeing exactly how he wired it up than we can go from there. Im prob gonna just get auto dream to fit the turbo in.

Just do it yourself.

Ya i was thinkin of just wiring myself but if toma knows haltechs and is gonna be dynoing it anyways may as well just let him do it.

Maxx, you should finish your Haltech How to. then he would be able to wire everything up himself. :P

I'm running the E6X, so he can use my wiring guide to determine what to hook up where, but the setup guide will be completely different for his unit compared to mine.
