I got the MOMO Carbon look/black w chrome handle and the 90-97 Mazda Miata #A6 adapter and the 90-97 Mazda Miata boot #C1. It all fit very well.
Subghetto the rings are very easy to install. 10 minutes tops. I also include with each set of rings an install video I shot and burn onto a CD in MPEG, AVI and QuickTime formats to help you out.
I'am glad to annouce that I finally put on my e-brake/e-brake boot from ractive by toucan industries. It looks so sweet, I slashed into the oem brake handle with a box-cutter it made a pretty nice cut and just slip the other one off w/o a hitch. But installing the ractive e-brake was a b**** harder than the momo b/c the metal on the e-brake prevented my e-brake to go down further so I had to shave some of the metal with a dremel and a polishing bit. I took about an 1hr but the results are awsome I also made it so the e-brake button would'nt pop-out to much and look stupid. Looks pretty stealthy
I would love a leather ebrake handle...one that matches the stock msp shift knob..that would look great in the proteges. not that carbon fiber stuff.. just blows my mind why everyone wants to deck their cars out in carbon fiber..Are there any good looking leather ones out there???
What button adapter do you need? I will be doing this next weekend.
Is this all I will need?
1. Button adapter
2. A6 adapter from 90-97 miata
3. #C1 e brake boot from 90-97 miata
1. a lot of time
2. a razor blade to slipce the stock ebrake handle
3. momo ebrake boot
4. momo ebrake
5. momo ebrake adapter. since they dont make for protege's, the miata adapter should work perfect (did for me at least)
Thanks now all I need to do is get a digital camera so I can put up pics of everything. The car is really starting to come alive with the interior work that I have been doing.
that momo would have looked better if it could be added on instead of chopping anything off? know what mean ppl? irreversable things arent that demanded
yah i know wut u mean, thats y i was sketchy about it but looks like im selling the car with those things on. btw, your sig really slows my computer down - chris
