Misalignment of fender/bumper on new car

Sorry, what a PITA. I've learned the hard way when taking delivery of a car to inspect the crap out of it. If it's bad just say no and don't accept the car, though I've never had to do that.

When we got my wife's CX-30 we found marks on the door handles and some other small exterior stuff. We had the dealer make notes of all of them and we brought the car in a week later to have it all taken care of per their own notes.

That being said whoever decided to put glossy plastic panels on the sides...Not wise. Those had subtle scratches on them but I figured that was inevitable anyway so let it go.
 
They won't do any painting. There may be something stuck under the fender preventing it from moving into place. Don't mess with it and let them fix it. Obviously you didn't do it, if something hit the car the metal would dent in, not pop out.
