Mirror Defrost

I live in Calgary and it is getting bitterly cold. I just noticed that the mirrors do not defrost like in most other cars. How much would defrosting mirrors cost. Is it worth it?

I've never heard of any kit to add this on...it's not an option here in the States, so you'd have to check into if it's a Euro-spec option or not. Then replace both mirrors and get tie it into your rear defroster.

Always an option I've wanted, but never a deal breaker...so I end up without it. Good luck!

wow.. it takes not even 5 seconds to do each mirror.. you ARE lazy! Lazier than me!

lol

mirror defroster is a grip of metal stripe under the mirror, once turn on, current will flow and it would get warmer.

but it took a good 3-5 min, to warm up in a chilly day.

i have a pair of those on my stocker acura

Well it's warmed up here (edmonton) .. its currently -30C and -43C with windchill.. so I'm going to actually go out tonight.. with any luck my drivers side window will unfreeze so I can look really ghetto with my hand out the window scrapping my mirror off with a credit card while driving down the road.. ;)

I feel your pain :)

credit card must be a good size for scrapping the side mirror, but that doesn't really bother me at all, i don't really need a side mirror because i trust my eye by turning my head better than the mirror in the winter.

agryzko? do you notice the clutch seem like harder at -30c, BTW i am from calgary.

there have to be some universal kits out there from someone like jc whitney i'd imagine

yeah i'm sure there are some kits. But I dont think its worth it really. I think I'll just stick to the credit card idea or just shoulder check.
