That was my first reaction. But the plastic the acetone comes in does okay, wonder if it's the same type?Kooldino said:Aren't the fuel additive containers plastic?

Well I tried Acetone in my last tank of gas and it seems to be working great. I am normally about 120 miles to half tank, I drive fast everywhere, and this tank I am at 185 with no change in climate or driving habits. Not to mention my oil needed to be changed. I picked some up at Walmart for like 12 bucks a gallon and added about 4.3 oz to my tank when I filled up. Car drives smoother and seems to run a little cooler too. My idle is smoother as well. I am happy with the results and will keep doing it. If I could suggest a method to put it in I would get an empty fuel additive container and fill it with that. Do not use plastic it will eat it up in pure form. The article I read on the forum said between 25% & 45% better mileage dep. on driving habits.

thats ok. we already got an answer. that dude, blitzd step dad is some sort of engineer. he says he's done tests and everything is ok. but it would be good to have another person confirm it1sty said:Not yet.
