Your right its the first sensor and that is why i would not want to do this on the first sensor. I doesnt make sence to me. I can see doing this on the sensor after the cat but not the primary o2 sensor.Kansei said:bad gas mileage and rough idle = misfire.
I drove my care for multiple YEARS without the second oxygen sensor even plugged in getting 36mpg all the way. Maybe there's a difference between having the sensor unplugged and having the sensor plugged in and having no cat so it gets mad.
It's the first sensor that controls fuel trim and crap though, weird.
