What is a Mil Eliminater, where does it go, and where can I find one?

2 ways to do it
1> electronic O2 simulator
2> spark plug non-fouler

I used the non-fouler. its cheaper and easier. u don't have to splice any wires

Actually I have a few other questions lol I drove for about a week with the check engine light on for having no pre cat and my car started running light s*** and then i started having 0300 code... Do you think it is because i ran so long with the O2 sensor trying to change the fuel air mixture?

the computer freaks out and makes the car run really rich and give u crappy gas mileage. just install the non-fouler, disconnect ur battery and hold down the brake pedal for 30 seconds. that will reset the computer and clear the code

i dont remember having any misfires... but that was almost a year ago
i'll be damned if i can remember last week

You MUST reset your ECU in order to get rid of the code. Then use the mil eliminator or the non-fouler. I second the vote for the non-fouler. Here is a picture from my car. Its easy to put on and return to stock if needed. There is a how to thread for this.

The CEL from having no second sensor or having both but no pre-cat WON'T make the car run like crap. at all.. the second sensor is just there to detect the presence of a car, without it, the car will run just fine, just with a CEL.. but not a misfire CEL (which I think that code is for). Either your primary oxygen sensor got messed up or you have an unrelated coil pack, plug wire, or plug issue.

then how do u explain the bad gas mileage and rough idle after the light comes on?
nothing else was done to the car and nothing else was wrong with it when it happened to me.
i read somewhere that the computer changes to fuel/air mix if the pre-cat "isn't working" which is why the car doesn't run as well as it should

I drove my care for multiple YEARS without the second oxygen sensor even plugged in getting 36mpg all the way. Maybe there's a difference between having the sensor unplugged and having the sensor plugged in and having no cat so it gets mad.

It's the first sensor that controls fuel trim and crap though, weird.

Your right its the first sensor and that is why i would not want to do this on the first sensor. I doesnt make sence to me. I can see doing this on the sensor after the cat but not the primary o2 sensor.

definitely don't do the mil eliminator or spark plug nonfouler trick on the primary sensor.. it needs as accurate a reading of the exhaust gas as possible.

What is the 0300 code, isn't that multiple cylinder misfire?

WOW neways you all took it way too far lol ok I did the non fouler trick and the car ran awsome but then the sensor went bad lol so I bought a new one (bosch) and it is too big to put back into the non fouler without drilling through the threads so I have resorted to the Mil Eliminator... lol

the second O2.. yeah. Unplugging it really shouldn't change how the car runs at all, but who knows.

lol I dont know lol I'll try it though cause I know having it plugged in it messes up my fuel and air mixture and eventually causes missfires Thanx for the tip
