I run 25% glycol with water wetter for my car... that with the fans both locked on at all times (just hard wired my AC and radiator fan to the ignition) and I pretty much never see water temps above about 180F (I have a 160F thermostat though too... ) I think the highest I've seen racing/highway/whatever was about 215 on 90 some degree day and that isn't all that bad...

Question. Should I worry about leaning out under deceleration (like getting on the gas, let off and then it goes lean)? It leans out and backfires. It sounds pretty cool but I figure it isn't a good thing, but maybe since I'm off the gas it isn't a problem

it is fine to lean out when under deceleration. your timing goes real low and the vac levels are low... you can run very very lean typically and be completely safe.

Advance your timing under high vacuum. I run about 18-20* around 22" of vac.

Does anyone else get an extremely rich condition [10] when they are cruising and have barely any pressure on the gas pedal? I'm talking like just weight of your foot on there to maintain speed. I've tried to figure out how to correct this, but can't seem to figure it out.

What size injectors are you running? I've found this to be more problematic for larger injectors.

^ stockers.

I think it has to do with the pump1 and pump2 settings from what I've noticed. Probaby the vac cut off setting for pump1, but I'm not sure.

i installed my lt10 today, but when i try and start the car it does not crank. I checked all of my wiring and everything is as directed, but still it wont crank. I also installed the 550cc injectors today as well, and i do have a 550cc map already loaded. The microtech manual says its either the starter conection or battery dead. what could be the problem????

The engine cranks but won't start OR makes no attempt at cranking when in the start position? Make sure you have good battery voltage (12.6), then check and make sure the single wire going to the starter solenoid is connected. Maybe it got undone during the process somehow??

It wont crank at all. It wont make an attempt. The battery was replaced less than two months ago and im pretty sure i checked all the wiring. Ill double check the starter wire tom morning. Ill try and post my results, wish me luck.

Confirm you have battery voltage at the big lug on the starter. With a testlight and an extra person, check the smaller wire for switched voltage.

so this morning i disconected the starter cable and re-connected it. So now the car cranks, but it wont start. I have an amber light that blinks as the car cranks, i know thats a good sign.

Sounds like you just need to tune it now :)

Read the instructions with it. Basically just mess with the mixtrm until it starts.

i have tried changing mixtrm..i went as low as -8% and as high as 6%

when i had it at -2% and when i loosened the throttle body screw, it almost started.

would a loose vacuum line cause it not to start.

Possibly - if you're running the stock ECU, because it's still monitoring air through the MAF sensor. It would be introducing air the computer doesn't know about, so it would lean out, possibly enough to not run.

With the Microtech, I would think it shouldn't matter since it's using MAP - should still start.

Try cranking up the Mixtrim a bunch ... +/- 6% isn't really a big jump in my opinion, not if you're really far off to begin with. Try something more like a 20% jump and see if you get something different.

well i have tried as high as +38% and -26%. But still no luck. I checked the injectos and there was fuel in them, the checked the plugs and cleaned them too. It just wont start. At-5% is seemed like it would but never did. So i played around with the values around-5%, but nothing.
I have a step colder plugs, could that be a promlem? I also turned the TB screw all the way loose, and made one turn clockwise, so in kinda stumped as to what could be the problem.

car started and ran for about 10 minutes. it works with -4% mixtrm. only concern now is, check engine light, and the water level on microtech stated 100celsius and it was in red. when the car first started it idled at around 1500rpm, but at the end before i turned it off, it went as low as 620rpm, and it fluctuated between 680 and about 750rpm. i have the car turned off and i added extra coolant which should help the water temperature problem.
