I think im gonna set out on a quest to find out which routes the other two groups we saw use. Maybe next year we could alternate routes if they are somewhat reasonable.

I know there is a Mini club that overlaps part of our route. I've driven with them before.

We ran into a group of old European cars near Waterloo, and later near the end of the drive we saw a BMW group, with some Z3s and mostly M3s. I'll search a bit and see if the route is somewhere online, or if they do like we do and keep it secret.

Yaggie, I'll stick with tuner for now, maybe later ill switch it up to Pleasureman or something goofy like that. (thumb)

I know the Mini club published thiers last time. I just tried looking at thier website www.michiganmini.com, don't know if the site is just down temporarily or if it is gone altogether, but it's not working right now.

yellow car

I think that yellow car behind me was a Austin Healey Sprite:

In other news, Tom did some searching and found the BMW group's route. He sent it to me and I'm in the process of writing it up. I won't post it for all to see, but if you want a copy of it, PM me. Their route starts at Briarwood Mall and ends at some place in Brighton for brunch.

More to come soon.

+rep for TurboTom!!!

You couldn't find one of those closer than 12 hours away? (scratch)

oddly enough, no, and i've been looking meticulously for close to 5 months now, on and off for a few years, definitly not a hasty decision, very well thought out and researched... the closest impreza wagon (not outback sport) i found was in chicago, and it was just a 93L wagon (base model) with almost 200K miles on it, other than that everything is either on the east or west coast, just not a market for older used subaru's in the midwest unfortunatly :(... although if i ever decide to sell this car it might help me to be one of the only ones in the midwest for sale, who knows, not looking to sell anytime soon, took me to long to get :p haha...

route

found this over on bimmerforums, apperently they do runs through the same area.

Our annual Fall Brunch Run features 60 miles of exciting back country road. It has on camber turns, off camber turns, blind corners, crests and dips. We will gather in Briarwood Mall west parking lot (next to JC Penny) around 10AM in Ann Arbor, Drive through Ann Arbor, Dexter, Hell, Gregory, Pinckney and finally arriving in Brighton House for brunch.

I started writing the route down, but there are a few areas that I'm not 100% sure about. PM me if you want what I have so far.

That route is pretty similar to the one I ran with the Mini group. Only thing that sucks about it is you waste a lot of time on Huron River Dr. That road is really busy and you have to behave. I seem to recall a lot of broken pavement and scary parts with a lot of wet leaves on the road if it rains. But there were a bunch of super fun on camber downhill sweepers and switchbacks.
