hehe ya he's been real busy but he'll get back to you all soon I'm sure. He was over at midnight last night helping me with my fuel pressure. :)
 
Just got word in from Beau:

He Dyno'ed his car with his setup, the MPI tuner, and at 10 psi.

Results:
225.3 WHP
265.7 lbs Torque at 4,300K RPM

The bad news... He thinks he collapsed a piston in the process at 10psi. His A/F's were good so it must've been a weak piston. But those are some amazing numbers.

Wow..the numbers are really good.

What size turbo? Disco Potato?

I am suprised about the piston. I know people w/ mpi tuner pushing over 225hp on t3/t4 with out any problems.

Is he using extra injectors?

That's like saying a top fuel dragster was the fastest car for half the race till it blew up at the 1/8th mile mark... (silly)

Numbers are nothing unless it is reliable. I understand that you are saying that you think it was the fault of the piston and not the kit. The numbers are impressive, but collapsing a piston isn't.
 
that kit looks pretty good, but i have a question, and this concerns all turbos... how do u get by emissions? for any mod that u do, put the car back to stock or something, i never really got that...
 
His current street kit is set to 6psi and dyno'd at 181WHP..Go to page one and read what the complete/street kits come with and are supposed to run at. Don't let this deter anyone from the kit itself. It's a damn good kit!

You tune the car properly and you put on a catalytic converter. That's the only way.

Yeah, Beau wants nothing more than to make sure his kit is ultra-perfect.
 
i can second that, that is why he is taking time to make sure the kit is the BEST AVAILABLE for the price, and GREAT quality. Thats why we are waiting on flanges- cuz the last company that made em were absolute GARBAGE!

Yeah as long as you have a cat or cat(s) and your car is tuned to run a healthy A/F you should pass... I still have my stock cat so we'll probably make a new DP that utilizes that, turn the boost down, and lean it out a bit in hopes of escaping the No2's and NOx levels.

But that's not for a ways down the line :)
 
The vertict is in.I dropped a piston or 2.I will be pulling it down tomorrow.
It was a complete shock.During the run my AF was 10.2 and I had 8 degrees of timing pulled in the 3800-4800RPM range and 10 at 6000RPM.During the run I heard Detenation and lifted(4400 RPMS)..It was to late.
The good news is the power it was starting to make.IMO, I feel I would have seen 240-245whp at 10-11psi.
The next few days will be full doing a motor swap.
