Mazdaspeed3 into Mp3?

does anyone know what kind of differences there might be? alot of the time auto plants try to stay relatively close to their basic construction so that they don't have to alter the assembly line too much. could this be as simple as making new motor and tranny mounts, and wiring in the new harness?

it's not even the same car! you're probably the millionth person to ask this (now retarded) question because just like everyone else before you, you didn't search for the answer!

it's funny you say that for a couple of reasons.
-the CRV and the civic are different cars yet they both share the same chasis and are both built on the same line.
-if i were the millionth person to ask this same question you would think i could get a better answer than than "it's not even the same car."

i did search for about 5 minutes and didn't really find a whole lot of constructive information.

stay nerdy.

I love how the first post you make as a user is, will a MS3 engine fit in a MP3. Anyway, comparing a ******* Honda to a Mazda is sooo insane. Wiring in the MP3 will be extremely difficult to do . YES it can fit, but will YOU do it. NO.

people need to quit bitching about searching. alot of times people DO search and dont come up with the answer they want so they post. what they would like is an answer to a question but they get yelled at. sry had to throw my .02 in there. whynot try a b16 kharris4? haha jk

it's NOT a ******* honda

mazda isn't cheap ass like honda and use the same old chassis for a completely new model car... don't expect it to be as easy as putting in a B16A from a 1999 civic into a 1989 civic because honda didn't change s*** in the chassis, ok?

if you read anything about the mazda3, it's all based on the focus, ok?
and the last time I checked, the focus didn't even use any mazda s***!

ok, i'm not saying that a honda is on the same level as some of these high class mazda protege's. and i appologize for upsetting the "SEARCH NINJA'S."

as far as the swap and whether or not i'll do it, i don't know. once i get my wrx(full v7 drivetrain swap, driveshaft shop axles and driveshaft, 3"custom turboback, fully built 2.5 with stg2 cams, hydra & hydramist, and pretty much every other mod known to man that you can do to a bugeye) tuned in a couple of weeks, then i might find the time to play around with my 15sec turbo mp3. i don't know though, just because i can work on a subaru, it's probably not as difficult as working on a mazda. i don't want to compare the two and offend all the mazda purebloods.

Sorry but I have to disagree. If Mazda were not "cheap" like Honda, MSP's would have a much sturdier LSD and better rods. Unfortunately most car companies are cheap, the ones that are not cheap (i.e. Rolls Royce, Porsche, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, etc.) are usually in a price range that I think its safe to say none of us can afford.

OK everyone calm down. Can we all just calm down, stop throwing stones and try and have an intelligent conversation.

Does that mean that the new 2.3 is the same engine as the new focus 2.3?

Let's all try and get in the holiday spirit, and stop being A$$holes for just a minute.

Merry Christmas everyone!

To be a bit more accurate, the new Focus is based on the Mazda3.

well... thanks for the input guys, but i have in fact decided not to even attempt the swap. as it turns out, this car is worth way more than i thought it was. i've decided, in stead, to post it on ebay for $100,000. i will, however, entertain the possibility of trading for a late model riding-mower with low hours on it.

If you're already turboing the MP3 you are set...especially if you already have a Subie as well. Although...

Zero Turn Radius Scag FTW!!!(first)

Texas is cool, Edwin isn't (only when he wants to be).

He always has to s*** in someone's cereal. Don't worry about him. :)

it already has a small turbo on it(Spool ITS stg1 with custom front mount), actually it already has an mp5 motor and ecu. i just wanted some "helpful" input about a swap. i really was thinking about getting rid of it and getting something newer.

i'm glad that there are some good sports out there. even i enjoy a good internet battle sometimes. it helps to improve my typing. in fact it only took about ten minutes for me to type this.

have a good holiday.
