kharris4 said:it's funny you say that for a couple of reasons.
-the CRV and the civic are different cars yet they both share the same chasis and are both built on the same line.
-if i were the millionth person to ask this same question you would think i could get a better answer than than "it's not even the same car."
i did search for about 5 minutes and didn't really find a whole lot of constructive information.
stay nerdy.
kharris4 said:ok, i'm not saying that a honda is on the same level as some of these high class mazda protege's. and i appologize for upsetting the "SEARCH NINJA'S."
as far as the swap and whether or not i'll do it, i don't know. once i get my wrx(full v7 drivetrain swap, driveshaft shop axles and driveshaft, 3"custom turboback, fully built 2.5 with stg2 cams, hydra & hydramist, and pretty much every other mod known to man that you can do to a bugeye) tuned in a couple of weeks, then i might find the time to play around with my 15sec turbo mp3. i don't know though, just because i can work on a subaru, it's probably not as difficult as working on a mazda. i don't want to compare the two and offend all the mazda purebloods.

mazda isn't cheap ass like honda and use the same old chassis for a completely new model car... don't expect it to be as easy as putting in a B16A from a 1999 civic into a 1989 civic because honda didn't change s*** in the chassis, ok?
if you read anything about the mazda3, it's all based on the focus, ok?
and the last time I checked, the focus didn't even use any mazda s***!
Does that mean that the new 2.3 is the same engine as the new focus 2.3?if you read anything about the mazda3, it's all based on the focus, ok?

Let's all try and get in the holiday spirit, and stop being A$$holes for just a minute.
Merry Christmas everyone!
kharris4 said:well... thanks for the input guys, but i have in fact decided not to even attempt the swap. as it turns out, this car is worth way more than i thought it was. i've decided, in stead, to post it on ebay for $100,000. i will, however, entertain the possibility of trading for a late model riding-mower with low hours on it.
